Timeliness and timelessness

1994 we are experiencing the same misinformation and hatred towards communities. Again, being led by an authoritarian who is charismatic and fuels hate for gain. History is cyclical and can be so sad. This book resonates because I feel the same thing happening again. My parents are 92 and 95, and they can’t believe they’re leaving this world with the same problem they were born into in 1929 and 1931. It’s alarming.

Good story that we must never forget.

Just a good story that we must never forget. Good characters and a little intrigue. Sadness and perseverance., sprinkled with a little hope.

The interlocking story telling. The historical accuracy.

In true Mitch Albon fashion this book focused on a deep subject. The theme elegantly and intelligently combine several points of view into one main subject. I enjoyed how everything came together in the end.

Never ever again. Truth be told this is haunting. Especially given a post 10/7 world.

Great book. Loved that it was written in the “voice” of truth. Kept me listening - and guessing- until the very end.

Very well done storyline and narration

A very compelling listen with a deep message yet easy to get lost in listening. Very well woven storyline with a message we can all understand. Mitch Albom writes in a manner we can easily embrace and his narration was just as enjoyable. We must never forget the horrors mankind inflict on one another nor the acts of kindness and love borne from tragedy.

Thoughtful Look into the Past

The burden of the guilt of lying for Nico Krispis is a deeper look into such a dark time in the world. During that time period the world was wrapped with the lies of individuals and entire governments. Such human tragedy is hard to imagine and this story helps us understand it should never happen again in any form and to any group of people.

Never Forget…..

This novel will stay with me for a very long time. I was moved to tears many times as I listened to the plight of the Greek Jews in the Holocaust. Powerfully written and performed. Thank you, Mitch Albom.
