They came from another world to protect her. Now it's her destiny to save them....

Tori King is a normal senior in high school. Head over heels in love with her childhood sweetheart, she is busy making plans for college when a chance encounter with an alien bounty hunter turns her world upside down. Now she's experiencing terrifying changes and developing supernatural abilities that leave her questioning her entire existence.

Then the arrival of four hot new guys at school has everyone talking - especially when they become fixated on Tori, following her wherever she goes. She can't shake them off, and as they grow closer, she finds herself drawn to all four of them in ways she cannot explain.

When they finally reveal their true identity and why they're here for her, she discovers everything she thought she knew about herself is a lie.

DO IT!

I was hesitant at first because of the alien angle, but Siobhan Davis has made a believer out of me! If you are a fan of RH stories like The Veil Diaries (this gets sexier the TVD quickly though), this one is definitely for you! I listened to the two books here all through the night and then downloaded and read the third one immediately after because I couldn't wait for it to be on audible. Now I am, not so patiently, waiting for the fourth book to be released. Love, love, loved!

Good start to the trilogy

This is so intriguing. It has a unique plot, unfortunately you have to read three books to get the full story. This I detest. And I can’t wait to begin book two. It’s that interesting. Narration was excellent. Really enhanced the story.

“We exist to serve and protect you.”

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🤎🖤
Chemistry: 🧪🧪🧪
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 😠😘🤓😉
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Tori - She is a normal high school student, who grew up on a farm, She has a boyfriend (Jensen) and several best friends. When she and her friends go shopping for prom dresses, something strange happens to her when she is attacked by a weird guy who she bumped into. When four new guys arrive at her school, she has a very strange reaction to them.

The Heroes: Dane, Maddox, Beckett and Cooper - Dane has tattoos and a dark faux hawk and chocolate brown eyes, Maddox has bulging muscles and tattoos, Beckett is smart and cute with glasses and a fade haircut, leaner but with muscular definition, Cooper is a blonde with tattoos and blue eyes and looks similar to Justin Bieber. They are guardians assigned to Tori.

The Story: Tori gets to know the four new guys at school and finds she has a connection to each of them, she has a feeling sort of like that of the alien that attacked her, but she feels comfortable with them. As this is going on, she is getting used to the weird things that seem to keep happening to her, similar to psychic abilities, and paranormal skills like turning that alien that attacked her to dust and moving super fast.

The book is told mainly from Tori’s point of view, though there are chapters in each of the guys point of view as well. It was narrated in dual narration by Lexi Richmond, Cooper North, Raviv Ullman, James Cavenaugh and Kirby Heyborne. They all do a fine job. Lexi Richmond isn’t one of my favorite narrators but she does a good job and her voice isn’t unpleasant so that was good.

There was a bunch of boyfriend drama at the beginning of this book since Tori had a boyfriend and there were jealousies when the four new guys came to school and started paying attention to Tori. Her boyfriend Jensen, was a good guy that she had known since she was a kid.

Some things don’t make much sense in this book. Tori and her four protectors were sent to different places as babies after an enemy species had started taking control of their planet, and Tori is just now getting her powers and remembering some of the things that happened when she was baby. However, the guys know all kinds of things about themselves, their home planet and the prophecy. They have information hidden away in their minds, but the technology of how it got there and how they access it wasn’t explained very well.

I have to admit that I really wasn’t feeling this one all the way through. I don’t know if I wasn’t connecting with the characters enough, or if I just got bored with listening to books yesterday. I put this one down a few times to watch television, which I don’t often do.

Interesting YA Reverse Harem with a Sci-Fi twist!!

Okay, this is the second reverse harem series i read and i'm loving it. Siobhan Davis introduces the Alinthia series with the story of Victoria King, a high school senior who thought she was just like the rest of her peers, preparing for college and making plans to marry her best friend and childhood sweetheart. Now the whole dating, marrying childhood sweetheart, i really do like it but i do find that it is the safe route like she just likes to be safe and not explosive in her life.

It starts off with Tori [ Victoria] and her best friends going shopping for a gown, then her bumping into an alien[ that she didn't know was one], then him attacking her friends and herself. She finds out no all is what it seems.

Suddenly, four males come to her school and her life is fully turn upside down, as she finds out that she's alien, and that she the chosen one to save the galaxy from a evil being and that's not all, the four males are her protectors, protecting her from evil threats.

Now for the characters:

Victoria King, 17 years of age. She was great, i really loved her character, her personality but not pissed me off was that she felt she couldn't say anything to her boyfriend[ Jensen] making him think so many bad things. I really like her when Tori was with the four males.

Her best friend; Kylie, well lets say she was cool[ read the whole series that are out for the reason why] She was very easy going with her best friend being a alien, defends her from others like Kenzie[ who was a bitch].

Her human boyfriend: Jensen, i really did like him lots. He was great but i felt him was easy to become jealous and easy to get angry. I do hope that he will move on and fall in love with someone
else. I felt so sorry for him and i did cry at times.

Then the alien boys:
Let's start off with Cooper, flirty, easy going and lovable in my mind. He was the one with the most against keeping secrets from Tori/Alinthia from the start. He understood why but he didn't like it. Yes, he was trying to break up Tori/Alinthia and Jensen apart too. It wasn't that he didn't care about her. He was worried about the bond between them and that it was too dangerous from the human to be around her.

Next was Maddox, quite and large formed, he had a rugged look to him in my mind. He was sweet when he talked and i have loved more chapters with his pov.

Beck, sweet and nerdy looking. He is the brainic in the group but most shy as well. He was very real like to me. He was one of the favorite's... well i lie the whole group is my favorite.

Lastly Dane, the pain in the ass leader. I don't like him much but i do like him. He is like 50-50 for me. He called all the shots and he demanded lots from Alinthia before she can/could understand everything. He pressured her lots and I didn't like that at all. He was also the hardest to talk too and if get anything about. I hope that does change soon.

Over all, i loved this book and want more within this series, and yes i read books 2 and 3 as well.
I also love the narrators for the book.

A great book and superb narration!!!

Holy aliens!! I loved this!! Honestly I read this before listening to it, but listening to it WAS SO MUCH BETTER!!! And I never say that...lol. This group of narrators were tremendous, they totally brought this book to life!!!

I have read the first two books in this series, and now I’m listening to them, and I love this series and can really see it becoming a movie someday!!

It was so much fun in this book, seeing Tori discover she was an alien. Finding out she has four gorgeous alien protectors that she is bound to on a soul level ( oh my!). And then having to try and accept all this and balance it with her “human” life...and sooo much more happens that I won’t say, because spoilers. Lol.

I loved some of the sarcasm and humor in the book. Between the guys, it gets pretty funny. But even with Tori, when she was fighting she would get real sarcastic, reminded me of how Buffy the Vampire Slayer was when she fought. Lol!!!

This is a great series so far and I am really excited about what’s to come!! Don’t miss it!!!

A very enjoyable read.

My first read from author Siobhan Davis. I was the winner of Siobhan Davis' giveaway for an audio book copy of The Lost Savior & The Secret Heir. Although I own several of her books, I didn’t own these 2 & had never read anything by her, my loss. Very well-written and enjoyable with captivating characters, now I just need to get the rest of the series, yes it’s that good!

Good sci-fi fantasy!

I enjoyed this audiobook, though it does stop on a big cliffhanger. The heroine is a high school girl who has a long term boyfriend that she expects to someday marry. Everything changes one night when she and her friends go shopping and she accidentally bumps into a strange guy. Later, on the way home, this guy stands in the road and causes an accident. To her utmost astonishment, he’s an alien because of his abilities and weapons and she instinctively turns him to ash. A few days later, 4 new boys are attending her school and life as she knew it will never be the same. Narration was very well done. Looking forward to next audiobook in this series!

Hands down the BEST Audible book EVER!

I seriously can't get over the INSANE talent of these voice artists. They completely bring to life the essence of these characters! I had to pause many times to rewind and listen again to certain parts because it just blew my mind with how the female voice, Lexi Richmond, just completely mastered so many different voices, so EFFORTLESSLY. I mean, I'm not even exaggerating in the least. This girl is INSANELY talented, actually ALL of the voice artists are amazing.

This is one of my favorite books (and series) ever and I was so nervous when I first downloaded the Audible version because, you know..you come to love these characters and you can't help but be a little nervous when something new involving them comes out, but wow. Somehow, this Audible version made me love the series that much more. Where before the character voices were just in my head, now it's as though they are actually speaking directly from the book to me. It's amazing. I can not WAIT to listen to book 2! Please please pleeeaaassseeeee keep this series coming in Audible format because it is OUTSTANDING!

Shocking in a good way

This genre is not my usual go to, but Siobhan Davis is one of my favorite authors, and I knew I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed! With the fabulous characters and sensual ease they show together, you can’t help but be drawn in and hooked. The dynamic and connection is so eloquently described and continually reinforced, you delve into each page and chapter with a hunger to find out more. The narrators nailed the presentation of the audiobook in such a way that you experienced the story, not just read it. Ready to continue their story with book two!
