You paying for an ad

Very disappointed, essentially you paying for them to advertise the MaccaX platform, wish there was a way to get a refund

Don't waste even an hour.

This is perhaps the worst narrator I have encountered in over 100 audio books. It represents a ridiculous puff piece. Probably the worst book overall I have ever encountered.

Repetitive, without any depth or emotion.

What disappointed you about The Macca Model?

This book did not contain any meaningful content except to repeat how great Macca is. I felt like they had to record a certain number of hours, so just padded out one chapter, to get to the desired time.
The narration was tinny and computerised.

Has The Macca Model turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, I have listened to others that were fantastic.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Mark Stahr?

Not sure who would replace the narrator? This narration sounded computerised and lacked any depth feeling that may have allowed me to continue to listen.

Poorly narrated

Narration was awful. I think my nephews read better, but it's a good short story...

Instructional, not inspirational

Comes off way too much like an add. Not enough personal story as it relates to the "Macca model"

too much advertisement, without human development

it felt very much like an advertisement. I anticipated learning more about the "why" behind the athlete's thought process. I most enjoyed the middle of the book where it talks about creatively involving people into what you love, rather than assuming life is exclusive. This idea is powerful and I wish this book spent more time on the subject. thanks.

Keeping me inspired while starting triathlons

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes - I've been listening to this starting doing triathlons of my own and it's kept me inspired and focused. I'd tell others who are going through the same thing..

What other book might you compare The Macca Model to and why?

It reminds me a bit of "the secret" about attracting positive forces and keeping positive.

Which scene was your favorite?

I liked when they talked about sharing your story... talking about Chris's story and the others he inspired gave me more confidence in my own journey.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes... I don't listen to too many audio books, and like to read traditional books mostly, but this audio book was perfect because I could listen to while I was running and riding my bike, doing things relevant to the material in the book. It was a great time saver.

Any additional comments?

I liked the short format at around 90 minutes... I could listen to over a couple workouts. It's great having a how to book based and endorsed by one of the best professionals to ever race the sport.

Great tips from the world champion!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes - I'd recommend because I think triathlon is a great sport and that Macca is a positive role model. Great tips are given in the book not just for triathletes, but for anyone looking to achieve a goal and live a more successful, positive life.

What other book might you compare The Macca Model to and why?

Some of what's mentioned in the book reminds me of Tony Robbins' book... talking about success modeling and choosing to be positive and aware of your own actions and others around you.

Which scene was your favorite?

I liked when the narrator talked about the triathlete's paradox and doing for others to improve yourself.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed at some of the parts about Macca, because it reflected his personality. I wasn't too surprised because I already read the ebook version

Any additional comments?

Look forward to more audio books from the author and narrator!
