Publisher's summary

This is the tale of The Mad King. Well, obviously it's in the title, I mean, you wouldn't pick up this audiobook and think it was about a democratically elected Oompa Loompa.

But this is a tale with a twist. Unlike what you would hear in other fantasy series, where there's a despotic madman in need of overthrowing where the story follows a group of plucky underdogs, this is a tale focusing on said aforementioned despot as he goes about his business with the express intent of getting a group of plucky rebels to overthrow him.

Because what's worse than absolute power? Absolute responsibility.

A story format that is very... "Cloak and Dagger".

Now, usually one would think that a story such as this would your typically usual tale of a royalty descending into crippling mental illness, however... the story becomes very self-aware and takes on a very comedic tone as the story proceeds.

If you know the narrator from his other works, you can expect the same quality and even more tongue-and-cheek banter with the listener (despite you not really being able to contribute to the conversation).

overall, it was a fun time- I hope to hear more from the author and narrator respectively.

Hilarious

This is the funniest book I've ever heard. This is a tale written by a true bard. Or a tale spoken by one to distract the guards

Short,Sweet,Humorous

I enjoyed this, noticed an audio error, wished it was longer, very silly, but fun.
