Publisher's summary

Although written 1908, this book remains arguably the best explanation for the fascination of golf. For the golfer, this is a must listen and will provide lots of ammunition for justifying his or her passion. Non-golfers will come to understand their golfing friends better and may even be tempted to try the sport themselves.

Critic reviews

"The book's core is pure gold....Haultain goes to the heart of golf's peculiar loveability and enduring fascination." (John Updike, author of Golf Dreams)

Odd

A truly abstract and odd experience. Interesting nonetheless. Be sure and have a dictionary at hand.

Dated writing style but the author is forgiven

A better reader would have made the very dated writing style more interesting. As it was...zzzz.
