Publisher's summary

What do you do when your one-night stand shows up in your regular life?

Alec Santiago is a single dad with a busy job; the last thing he’s looking for is a relationship. In the years since he lost his husband, he’s stayed faithful to his memory - aside from the occasional hook-up when he gets lonely.

Kade MacIntosh is a flirty, fun-loving, and happily-single omega. The only commitment he’s interested in is the one he’s made to teach dance to the kids of MacIntosh Meadows. Alphas? Please. Who needs them? Not Kade. Especially after the way he watched his parents' marriage implode when he was a child.

After a one-night stand in a neighboring town leaves Kade pregnant by an alpha he has no way of contacting, he’s ready to be a single dad. But what the heck is he supposed to do when Mr. Hot Stuff shows up in his studio? The more that Kade and Alec try to pull away from each other, the more that fate keeps shoving them together - through busted water pipes, awful parents, pregnancy woes, and dance classes with cute kids who are way too smart for their own good.

This book is over 55k and contains mpreg, adults adulting in fun and sexy ways, and probably more pottymouth language than should be used in a book with kids underfoot. 18+ listeners only please.

From one night to a lifetime. <3

This was a cute story about one night stands and second chances. Kade is someone who loves who he is and makes no apologizes about that. He is happy and flamboyant and loves kids. He did not expect to find love in a bar but that is exactly what happened. Alec is a single dad who does not know when to quit working and enjoy life. The two of them are a perfect contrast to one another.

I loved their story and I am glad that Alec realized that it is okay to love again and it is okay to be happy. I think one thing that tends to occur with widows/widowers is they forget it is okay to be happy and in this book that is what we get. There were times where I just wanted Alec to stop being in his own way and just accept Kade and what he has to offer but I guess it is better late then never.

I loved all of the side characters within this story. Kenzie and all of the kids in this story were great. I loved the fact she played a role in not only the book but in the relationship between Alec and Kade. The fact Alec realized how much Kade and Kenize bonded made it that much easier for him to know Kade is the right one for him.

Drew Bacca was a great narrator. Both characters had different voices and I did not have to worry about who was talking at any given moment. With audiobooks it is hard to find a narrator who can change their voice enough so you can understand who is speaking.

The Omega's Dance

Kade is the funniest, most outrageous, straight forward, and best character in this series. He is hands down my favorite, and I liked him from the moment we met him in book one. I love that he is unapologetically himself and doesn’t let anything or anyone stand in the way of who he is and wants to be. I totally didn't understand Alec on a personal level. I mean I know he had to deal with something horrible happening, but seriously 8-9yrs later he is still not over it and still wearing his wedding ring. Ugghhhh. Alec’s daughter was a great character to include in this book too. I loved Kenzie, she was just adorable and I loved that her and Kade bonded so well and so fast “The special K’s” lol. Kade’s mom showing back up as a total psychopath added an extra spin to the story, you will literally not believe what she tries to pull on these guys. I seriously disliked everything about her and hope she crawls back under whatever rock she came from. But at the end I am glad that Alec finally figures out that Kade is what he wants and can’t live without, because that would have been a shame to let him slide through his fingers, just because he was afraid of letting someone else into his heart, I really do think they are perfect for each other.

Audio – I Loved Drew’s narration and character voices he gave in this book. Kade is such an exuberant character I really think that Drew was able to do his personality justice in this narration, I really felt like we were listening to not just a narration but the actual characters coming to life in this book. I had fun listening to this one. I am happy that the Author stuck with the same narrator for all of these books.

cute story

Of all the books I have read by Susi, which have been quite a few so far, this one is not a favorite. I did not care for Kade's or Alec's characters as much as I enjoyed previously written characters. ah well. You can't win them all. Luckily I have read enough from this author to not let this one book deter me. Not that this book is bad. I love the writing, just not these two characters.

Having said that. I am looking forward to listening to book 3 of this series. I pretty much love all of Susi Hawke's work.

Perfect sweet story for a summer listen

Another sweet, low angst love story. Looking forward to the next one in the series.

sweet romance

I thoroughly enjoyed this narration. Drew Bacca does a great job giving each character their own distinctive voice. Alec and Kade's romance has its ups and downs plus there is a crazy parent thrown in as well. There is some verbal abuse from said crazy parent but aside from that this is an enjoyable book.
