Good but stop changing narrators. But both new guys where good but took 4-5 chapters to get use to

great book 10/10

there's not much I can say if your this far into the series you know the great thematic. I live in do long to make sure he and cattybree finally tie the knot

Terrible Narrator, Where is Victor Bevine

What disappointed you about The Orc King?

The narrator is absolutely awful!!! I cannot state this strongly enough, Victor Bevine does an amazing job but this person does terrible voices and does not tone the emotion in any of the characters correctly.

What did you like best about this story?

The writing of R.A. Salvatore is flawless as usual.

Would you be willing to try another one of Mark Bramhall’s performances?

Please, oh please just use Victor Bevine! His tone and ability to capture the emotions and intensity of any situation is second to none.

good book, narrator needs alot of work

Narrator needs to go back and listen to the other books and listen to the way names of characters, weapons and cities are pronounced before butchering them.

Change in reader

The new reader isn't terrible but when the entire series so far has been read by one reader it is annoying to switch and suddenly have all the characters have different voices and differently pronounced names. I am not sure why the change for only 3 books, but it would be nice for victor bevine to do these 3 books as well. If it hadn't been for the change I probably would not have minded the new reader.

good book but not the preferred narrator

not a huge fan of the narrator. That is possibly due to his altered pronunciation of alot of the names in comparison to Victor Bevine who narrated the first 6 series

What I think of book "The Orc King"

Sorry but should have stuck to Victor for reading. He read the last 17 books and was great at it where as Mark miss pronunciates names and some times put to much emphasis on other words. Other then the reader the story was amazing.

Awesome book, decent narrator.

Not a fan of this narrator. they should have stuck with Victor bevine. The difference in tone and pronunciation is very noticable.

My first 4 star for a Drizzt tale.

unfortunately, Mark bramhall's performance on this story was the reason for the less than five star review. after listening to so many drizzt tales read by Victor Bevine I found myself being taken out of the story's mood quite often spy the way that Mark pronounced a lot of the names of characters, places, and items. Victor pronounces all of the names the same way I do, the same way I'm sure most people do whereas mark over accentuates a lot of the names in the story to the point we're at first I didn't even know what he was talking about... trying to make things sound way more Mystikal and foreign. great story though and a wonderful addition to the saga... I am a little bummed that I have to go through two more books with this narrator to get back to Victor's narration... you would think that these production companies would air on the side of consistency...

as with a lot of other reviews, the narrator's mispronounciations of common names really throws off the feel of the story.
