Acerca de esta escucha
When you get off at your stop, the police are waiting. Another passenger saw you and Kit arguing on the boat home the night before and the police say that you had a reason to want him dead. You protest. You and Kit are friends - ask Melia, she'll vouch for you. And who exactly is this other passenger pointing the finger? What do they know about your lives?
No, whatever danger followed you home last night, you are innocent, totally innocent.

Great story, struggled slightly with the narrator
The Story was great, another hit by Candlish. I struggled a bit with the narrators swallowing habit while reading but he did the voices and inflections really well.

An Original Protagonist you’ll want to Murder
The voice performance is 5 star because right from the first quarter of an hour, you’ll be hoping that whatever has happened in the plot, the protagonist-narrator gets a come-uppance. Candlish has written a character who’s sardonically charmless, a victim-NPC type of character turned protagonist by the power of her pen. Even as his irritatingly slothful voice and despicably shallow nature grate through the hours, I wanted to keep listening to the clearly unfolding train wreck. I will also praise Candlish’s elegance in devising an ending that feels authentic, is original and true to the characters and theme, and doesn’t force the final plot twist so much as it lets it slide out of the book like a gentle and masterfully concocted sigh.
