the other side of History does just what it claims - it gives you an understanding of what it was like to live at various times and places of history. I highly recommend it.

Overall Very Good, A Worthwhile Read

the first half of the book is the most exciting and insightful, with informative descriptions on how typical Romans, Egyptians, Greeks, etc. lived, ate, worked, and laid back. However, once we get into the medieval era it starts to sound more like a typical history book instead of an interesting insight into the daily habits of the common people. The narrator's way of speaking takes a little getting used to, but not so much that it's distracting.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course.

A very insightful account of the lives of ordinary people in history. I very much enjoyed it. The speaker did a great job at sticking to the timeline of events. Some chapters seemed to move slower than others but for the most part a very interesting course to take.

This has been my favorite book/course I've listened to from Audible yet. Every single lecture is interesting, its always so hard to press stop when i have to get out of the car. I definitely recommend this course.
