About this listen
Six Sessions of Teachings for Integrating Spirituality into Work, Love, and Life
How does spiritual awakening take root in our lives? Does it happen on the meditation cushion, in the yoga studio, or on long retreats? "Our inner work plants the seeds of insight," teaches Thomas Hübl, "yet lasting transformation emerges as we take our practice into the world of love, work, and culture - what I call the relational field." On The Power of We, he presents a compelling vision of what fully engaged spiritual practice can be, with in-depth guidance into the fundamental competencies you'll need to sustain awakening in the fast-placed "marketplace" of our modern world.
Tools and Insights for Awakening in the Relational Field
The relational field is more than the sum of our interactions with our friends, family, and intimate partners. As Thomas explains, we exist in relationship to every aspect of life - to our social environment, the past and the future, the wisdom of our chosen spiritual path, and our own potential. In this six-session course, you'll develop a greater awareness for each relationship that shapes your life - and how to kindle your own evolution through practices such as transparent communication, attuning to subtle energy, illuminating shadow material, and much more. "For awakening to flourish, it must become our first priority," says Thomas Hübl. "It must infuse and inform our work and play, our love and conflict, and every relationship in our lives." Join this fresh and dynamic teacher for a journey that will revolutionize the way you practice spirituality in every moment with The Power of We.

We are all interconnected—and dependent on each other to shape the world in which we live. Yet even though technology has allowed us to digitally share our lives with more people than ever, the result has been a growing pattern of personal isolation, alienation, and division. Why is this? “We are seeing the manifestation of collective trauma,” says luminary Thomas Hübl, who has reached thousands of people around the world through his teachings on mysticism and healing.

Story
Spiritual teacher Thomas Hübl has spent years investigating why it is that old and seemingly disconnected traumas can seed their way through communities and across generations. His work culminates in Healing Collective Trauma, a new perspective on trauma that addresses both its visible effects and its most hidden roots. Thomas combines deep knowledge of mystical traditions with the latest scientific research. "In this way", writes Thomas, "we are weaving a double helix between ancient wisdom and contemporary understanding".

Here, for the first time, is a layperson's explanation of polyvagal theory, an approach to mental health and well-being that has taken the clinical world by storm. A polyvagal approach to life is based on the knowledge that the autonomic nervous system is shaped by early experience and reshaped with ongoing experience. This short book will offer an overview for nonspecialists and provide a series of exercises and meditations (practices) that will allow listeners to tune into their nervous systems, providing calming prompts to build and strengthen ventral vagal connections.

Shetty grew up in a family where you could become one of three things—a doctor, a lawyer, or a failure. His family was convinced he had chosen option three: Instead of attending his college graduation ceremony, he headed to India to become a monk, to meditate every day for four to eight hours, and devote his life to helping others. After three years, one of his teachers told him that he would have more impact on the world if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and wisdom with others.

In illuminating the nature of this shift in consciousness, Tolle describes in detail how our current ego-based state of consciousness operates. Then gently, and in very practical terms, he leads us into this new consciousness. We will come to experience who we truly are and learn to live and breathe freely.

As much as we might try to resist, endings happen in every moment—the end of a breath, the end of a day, the end of a relationship, and ultimately the end of life. And accompanying each ending is a beginning, though it may be unclear what the beginning holds. In How We Live Is How We Die, Pema Chödrön shares her wisdom for working with this flow of life—learning to live with ease, joy, and compassion through uncertainty, embracing new beginnings, and ultimately preparing for death with curiosity and openness rather than fear.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
Just before Christmas in 1843, a debt-ridden and dispirited Charles Dickens wrote a small book he hoped would keep his creditors at bay. His publisher turned it down, so Dickens used what little money he had to put out A Christmas Carol himself. He worried it might be the end of his career as a novelist. The book immediately caused a sensation. And it breathed new life into a holiday that had fallen into disfavor, undermined by lingering Puritanism and the cold modernity of the Industrial Revolution.

Story
The 10 enlightening (and often humorous) lectures of Medieval Myths and Mysteries will show you how far from the “dark” times of legend these centuries were. Uncover the facts about the Knights Templar. Reveal the truth behind the tales of legendary creatures like the Questing Beast and the unicorn. Trace the events of the Black Death and the ways it altered the world in its wake, and much more. With Professor Armstrong, you will dig deep into the ways that later generations reshaped the narrative of the medieval years and perpetuated the myths.

So good I will listen again maybe several times.
This is quite a remarkable book and it’s perfect that the author reads it. I can’t begin to summarize it yet. I’m still digesting. The author’s clear presentation of core life knowledge / wisdom should make this a valuable read to almost everyone. His voice is relaxing and meditative. He has so many memorable and insightful phrases and expressions. I will listen through again once just to take notes and then again without any distractions. I listened the first time while driving across the country. I heartily recommend this book for everyone.

Deep Wisdom for the Spiritual Seeker
This book is so much deeper than it may seem at first listen. Generally I will read/ listen to a book once and then don't need to revisit it for 10 to 20 years. This one I turned around and listened to again immediately ( if for no other reason than to hear Thomas Hübl's soothing voice!), but I got even more out of it. I've listened to this now many dozens of times and every single listen, in whole our in part, reveals something a little deeper than I'd received before. I cannot recommend this enough to anyone on a spiritual path.

Very deep book
This is not a book I can listen to once and declare it understood. This was like listening to Mahamudra for the Modern World by Reginald A. Ray. I listened to it once. Came back and did it again a year later and learned more the second time than I did the first time. I will follow as I’ve done many times before and listen to the teachings of my college professor, but with modifications. He said to read a book every three months for a year to learn it. In this case I believe it will be much more flexible since this book brought up a lot I have to work through. The author caused me to look at things very differently than I had looked at them before. Be prepared for a change in thinking as you go through this book in your life.
