Enjoyable

As with all the Westmoreland Series., this was a good read.
Thoroughly enjoyed it!
But I want to know more about their cousins the Outlaws from Alaska. Especially starting with the patriarch of the clan...Levi as well as each of the sons. That whole back story I would be well worth exploring.

Brenda...Love it when you combine the love aspect of the stories with a splash of danger/suspense/mystery; and not JUST the physical attraction between the characters.

The love scenes have never been equalled by anyone

What made the experience of listening to The Real Thing the most enjoyable?

I wanted a book with nothing but steamy love scenes. The Real Thing blew me away. I'd never been involved in love scenes like this since I first heard Wagner;s Tristan and Isolde. And Brenda just pours it on and on again and again. I was ecstatic. She topped" A Little Dare." .

What did you like best about this story?

Avery Glymph plunged into the story and made me feel that I was listening to the lovers tell their stories over the water fountain the next day at work.. The first seduction was unbelievable.

Have you listened to any of Avery Glymph’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

He is excellent. You can relax feeling like you yourself are reading.it out loud. Glympn never sounds like he is reading. It's like he's telling you the story...

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The first lovemaking scene in chapter 10. We were at the top of Mt Everest on that one. And then we went up from there.

Any additional comments?

Brenda is to erotic writers like Lincoln is to presidents. They come no better.

This narrator was outstanding. He brought the story to life.... This is a great book to listen too. I wish Brenda Jackson would start making movies. 😊

Great!

I really liked this book and would recommend this book. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. The couple was great together. They had real life issues like sexual harassment in the work place and being disrespect by the Dr. causing the issue. It let you know not only does the victim face the issues, but the victim 's partner and family go through all the stress, angry and sadness. Brenda Jackson did good as always with the storyline. The narrator was good as well. I can't wait for all the Westmoreland series to be on audible.

Another Brenda Jackson Winner.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. Strong characters strong family. I like that while aa African-American characters they do not play up to that rather situations
any and all could experience.

What other book might you compare The Real Thing to and why?

Any Brenda Jackson romance.

Have you listened to any of Avery Glymph’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Any additional comments?

Even though ther are so many Westmoreland books each is compelling and unique with humor steam and memorable characters.

MY NEW FAVORITE AUTHOR!!

I have been looking for this book to read since the first time I was introduced to the Westmoreland's!!
HECK!!! I need me a Westmoreland!!!
As a first time Audible 'reader', I cannot think of a great book to start with...SEXY SEXY SEXY.
Descriptive characters, SEXY banter between the main characters, definitely stokes curiosity in wanting to meet the rest of the other family members...and the love scenes...ooooweee!!! Almost voyeuristic...until you remember, it's a damn book...not someone's journal!!!

A MUST HAVE IN YOUR COLLECTION!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. ENJOY....

side note: Avery Glymph - Narrator
voice tone: perfect for listening
character tone: tends to lose the flow of the characters' voices at the beginning of the story...but gradually gets into the right cadence and tonality as you get deeper into the story.

A very Good read....

A very intense story of falling in love. A STORY of such emotional and physical attraction between a man and or woman. I opened myself up to it and allowed it to draw me in.
