Publisher's summary

A millennium into the future two advances have altered the course of human history: the colonization of the Galaxy and the creation of the positronic brain. Isaac Asimov's Robot novels chronicle the unlikely partnership between a New York City detective and a humanoid robot who must learn to work together.

Detective Elijah Baiey is called to the Spacer world Aurora to solve a bizarre case of roboticide. The prime suspect is a gifted roboticist who had the means, the motive, and the opportunity to commit the crime. There's only one catch: Baley and his positronic partner, R. Daneel Olivaw, must prove the man innocent. For in a case of political intrigue and love between woman and robot gone tragically wrong, there's more at stake than simple justice. This time Baley's career, his life, and Earth's right to pioneer the Galaxy lie in the delicate balance.

Enjoyable and Surprising

Great Narrator. The story kept my attention and went in a few directions I didn't expect (all positive).

The Robot Experience

I have loved the works of Asimov for a long time. His Robot series is some of his best work. I wish you would produce his conclusion, Robots and Empire. This draws his stories together.

I have always loved Asimov.

In all my reading of Asimov. The Robot Trilogy is the only and most drawn out romance I have ever come across. Otherwise I do enjoy the story line.

Wonderful Production of Asimov’s Final Book in his Robot Series

I read this book decades ago, when it first came out, after having read all of Asimov’s previous books, including his excellent non-fiction science. Asimov had a profound impact on my life, so my opinion may be biased in finding most modern audio and video productions of his stories atrocious; the only exceptions are audios done by William Dufris, who is an amazing talent. His narration is nearly perfect; my only critique is that I had imagined Giskard’s voice to be less mechanical and Daneel’s voice less stilted.

This series was a joy to listen to!

An interesting exploration of human and robotic behavior, believable and fantastical at the same time. Amazing that Asimov's take on technological advances is fairly accurate in sum, even though he missed on the digital revolution somewhat.

Again excellence

I have loved this story since I first read it many years ago. The addition of a wonderful narrator has made it even better. His voices and inflections made the story even more memorable.

Excellent book.

Amazing how a SuFi book written so long ago is so up to date. The narrator is so excellent that all the characters come to life.

One of my all time favorites.

The crime of roboticide needed to be solved to save Dr. Fastolf, the Earth and Bailey. But in the end the crime was just a mechanism to explore the human psyche.
