Cute, entertaining, and easy listen.

What made the experience of listening to The Rumor the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the charaters in this book. Liked listening to the different lives of each yet the lives and story was interwoven in a very believale way. I live in a small town and it is so true the different rumors that can start because of the different preception people conclude.

What did you like best about this story?

Cute, real to life and very easy flowing and good fun listen.

Which character – as performed by Kathleen McInerney – was your favorite?

I think she did a wonderful job and could ,listen to her on and on.

Who was the most memorable character of The Rumor and why?

I liked Grace and Eddie. The story between them was very believable.

Nice summer listen.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were intriguing and I really liked the people who read it.

This book spurred me to walk miles, despite 90° heat, to hear more! Very engaging.

Realistic

The characters in this story seemed fairly realistic to me. The ending was certainly different than I would have predicted. A good summer read.

This was a great book! It kept my attention through the whole thing. This is the first book I have read of Elin Hilderbrand and it is definitely not the last!

great book by Hilderbrand!! This author never disappoints. An easy author for audio and a good performance.

Another great story!

Elin Hilderbrand is my favorite author and I have read (listened to) most of her books already. For some reason, I wasn't expecting too much from this book but that was a big mistake. I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. I love how her characters intertwine between books because it makes it that much more interesting. This was a very enjoyable story!

Author grabbed my attention from the very beginning and never disappointed. Can't wait for the next book.

good listen

Loved the book. The romance was so real, so well described it was palatable and you could feel it in your bones. I particularly liked the way the author described the food throughout the story. It wasn't cheesy. Nicely done.

Ending?

I loved the book but hated the ending. What happened to the characters? There was no closure…everything was left up in the air. Like the character, Madeline- she couldn’t close her stories either. Perhaps our author was channeling her. I was so disappointed. No more books about Nantucket for me for awhile.
