Meh

Maybe it’s cause I’ve watched/read up on a lot of this but I was expecting a lot more facts and details to be included. Several times they wonder how this affected the victims years later but don’t seem to have looked into it. I’ve since listened to a lot of their other episodes and still this one I feel is lacking a bit but it is the very first one so maybe that’s why. For what it’s worth, as an actual victim of of the 90s repressed memory trend, it completely messes with your psyche and the way you see yourself. It makes you feel isolated from both “normal” peers and the abused peers who have actual memories. You don’t trust authority figures anymore and you don’t trust your own memory and become paranoid about forgetting things.
