About this listen

After splitting up with her gorgeous WASP-y boyfriend, Jewish New Yorker Aimee Albert decides to take her mother's advice and find a nice Jewish boy. The only trouble is that the Jewish guys are all falling for the blonde shiksas.

With some hair dye, green contacts, and a few mannerisms borrowed from her best friend, Aimee transforms herself into a shiksa goddess, and soon she attracts a wonderful Jewish man. Now the question is, how long will the charade go on?

The Shiksa Syndrome is a tale of love and identity, and how the search for one can sometimes play havoc with the other.

"Graff's prose crackles with winning wit, making her...[tale] go down like a chocolate-covered macaroon." ( Publishers Weekly)

Funny and informative

This is a great romantic novel that helps you understand interfaith relationships and what is really meaningful (regardless of the religion). Highly recommended for anyone converting to Judaism or a Jew person thinking about dating someone outside Judaism.

book was predictable, and it just was too much to be believable or even entertaining.
