Rosie's squad of welders must work gruelling hours in the yard as they prepare for the Allied invasion of Normandy. All the while Rosie herself waits anxiously for news of her husband, Peter, who is carrying out dangerous work as an undercover operative in France.
Meanwhile welder Dorothy has a feeling that her beau, Toby, is planning to pop the question when he's next on leave. But it seems that her head is being turned by someone closer to home....

Another Great Story
I have listened to all of the audio books in this series. I absolutely love this author, the characters, and the person that narrates this Janine Burkett. The characters come across real. The stories that weave through each book are realistic. I feel like I know all of these characters personally. I rarely ever feel that about a book.

Not quite perfect ending
it was a slow starter for me but then I got inv6in the characters. The ending was a bit of a disappointment because the Dr. and the woman he really loved didn't get married. otherwise ok

Frustration **Spoiler Alert**
I love this series and these women so much. But, I am beyond frustrated that new things keep happening in other characters lives and Helen and Johns lives are dragged out through another book with no completion. So we are about 3 maybe even 4 or 5 books and they are just dragging on. Please give them a happy ever after already!!
