Publisher's summary

Tracking and killing demons is all part of the job for the Hand of God, Victor McCain, God's bounty hunter. In this fast paced sequel to The Hand of God and The Watchers, Victor learns facing his inner demons may be deadlier than the real ones. Turning to the bottle to drown out the memories of a lost love, he begins to take risks which could get him killed. One night, drunk and alone in a bar in Tennessee, he's ambushed by members of the Church of the Light Reclaimed. He would have died in the attack, if not for a beautiful stranger named Elizabeth. Later he learns the attack was orchestrated by an old nemesis, Preston Deveraux, and Cyrus Tyler, the new Speaker of the House of Representatives. Victor must lean on the alluring Elizabeth to find the truth behind their plans - only she has secrets of her own that could doom them both. When yet another player shows up on the scene hunting Elizabeth, Victor must find a way to convince the two of them to work together to help him stop Tyler from reaching his ultimate goal: to throw the world into chaos and war.

Great Story

The author keeps you guessing right up until the end. The story is interesting and the characters are charming.  "I was provided this audio book at no charge by the narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via AudiobookBoom dot com".

Good vs. Evil

This is an intriguing book. I have not listened or read paranormal suspense/urban fantasy books before. I thought I would try a new genre to see if it fit my tastes. I was intrigued by this story, but just couldn't get into it like I do typical romance or mystery books. The book is part of a series and there are several references to the earlier books in this story. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator, and/or publisher. I think the author did a good job with descriptions and the story flowed, but this genre just isn't for my tastes and that is why I rated the story 3 stars. The narrator did a very good job.

Good, Evil, and God's bounty hunters

You never know how you'll pay the price for your sins. Victor McCain spends his days and nights fighting the demons of the world in a way to help redeem his soul. It continues to tell the story of Victor McCain and keeps you involved until the end as he once again tackles the dark side.

God's Bounty Hunters

Any additional comments?

3.5 stars

Another very entertaining and enjoyable addition to the series. A supernatural thriller with plenty of intrigue, mystery and suspense that pulls you into the story from the beginning and never lets go.While I enjoyed this installment of the series, it wasn't as exciting and fast paced as the 2 previous books.

While technically you could listen to this book as a standalone I wouldn't recommend it. There are several references to events that have happened in previous books. Especially the areas that deal with Samantha and his brother Mikey. It's worth it to start at the beginning of the series.

The story is told through multiple POV's.

Being Gods Bounty Hunter on earth is not an easy job. Evil never takes a break. It's everywhere. What does it take to redeem your soul? How much evil do you have to fight? Victor McCain spends his days & nights fighting Satan, demons and evil of all kinds. He has enemies and they are coming after him. The Church of the Light Reclaimed are out for revenge. It's up to Victor to stop them. With a little help from an old as well as a new unexpected ally, Elizabeth. Who is she and what does she really want? Can he trust her?

Mikey is back and the McCain brothers are headed for a showdown. Really looking forward to the next installment.

Steve Rausch did a great job with the narration once again. Nice voice. Easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken with a smooth even pace. Really good character voices. Really good voice for Elizabeth. Very enjoyable

surprised me (in a good way)

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher. This book surprised me by how good it was. I am not usually a huge paranormal fan, but this was really interesting. It was intelligently written and funny. The plot was pretty original. I loved how the bomb part of the story played out. The characters were well developed and easy to find yourself getting wrapped up in what happens to them and rooting for them. Narrator was great. Smooth and easy to listen to. Very good read.
