Fantastic!

This book was amazing! From the different people who read the story to the story itself. I loved it all!

Makes you dig deep!

As with most of her books, Jodi Piccoult delves deep into our consciences and forces us to take stock of long held beliefs. She always makes me reexamine what I think I know to be true. Sometimes I come to new conclusions... In this case, I can live with her ending.

outstanding!

Another wonderful book by Jodi Picoult. I love how she takes both sides of a serious issue and, in the guise of a story, argues for each side.

I enjoyed listening to it on Audible. The narrators were fantastic!

Well-Written & Well-Performed

The author’s writing style is descriptive and captivating. The reading by multiple narrators resulted in an excellent “performance” to the very end.

Great story throughout, possibly lackluster ending

I went into this story blind, I had no idea it was about the Holocaust, but I thoroughly enjoied it.

The ending was a bit aggravating but I liked the growth and changes in several characrers, and the overall story was worth how unsatisfying I found the very end to be. I'd still reccomend it :)

Most interesting as the book described how a young German man was convinced Hitler was trying to help Germany was interesting to hear how normal young men were made into monsters..

Narration was the best and made the story!!

This was a hard one to get into. I almost returned it as this story and how it jumped around so much from stories almost lost me. It grabbed me when the Grandmother started telling her story and then I was hooked. Fantastic narration and just grabbed you with her heart breaking saga of being in a concentration camp as a young girl and how she survived. The ending just kept getting better as it all came together. I'm still not thrilled with how this author threw in a few chapters of who is this and how does this connect with the story, but at the end you find out. It's a great 4 star book with a 5 star narration from this group. WOW!!
