Michael was in a hurry. He was scrambling up the ladder at Drake & Sweeney, a giant D.C. law firm with 800 lawyers. The money was good and getting better; a partnership was three years away. Absolutely his best book
Grisham writes so well but this, for me, is his best book, his characters are very similar to people I've met in the social/homeless community. Thanks to him and others with a conscience.
