Publisher's summary

Certain death? Conspiracy that goes to the top? Robbery gone wrong? All in a day’s work…

F hired me to do a straightforward job, but there was a slight snag in the operation when what I stole was stolen from me. Three goons showed up at my door to not so politely tell me that I have 24 hours to deliver F’s goods or my body will never be recovered.

The real tragedy is that I haven't had my morning coffee...

Those punks better watch their back. Nothing comes between me and my coffee.

Ruined by AI voicing

This might have been a really cute, campy story, but with the audiobook version being read by AI, it was bad. I almost didn't finish it because it was so bad. The AI reads EVERYTHING, including page numbers, ETC. That left me with random numbers being thrown into the middle of the text. And some portions seemed to be lost when the numbers got really close together with only a few, disjointed sentences between. The protagonist could have been an interesting character, and the emotionless Ai voicing added an autistic vibe that matched well with the character, but ALL the characters sounded the same, making conversations almost incomprehensible. Also, the flat emotionless voicing made the irrationality of the story go from campy to stupid. The performance was a - 1, to be kind. If I pick up another book by this author, I'll maker sure to read it myself.
