Acerca de esta escucha
In 1964, Maggie wakes to find herself in a mental asylum, with no idea who she is or how she got there. Remnants of memories swirl in her mind - a familiar song, a storm, a moment of violence. Slowly, she begins to piece together the past and the events which brought her to this point.
In the present day, Jonathan is grieving after the loss of his father. A cold, distant man, he was not easy to love, but at least while he lived there was hope for reconciliation. Then a detective turns up on Jonathan's doorstep to question him about crimes he believes Jonathan's father may have committed long ago...
As the two stories interweave, the devastating truth long kept hidden must emerge, and both Maggie and Jonathan are forced to come to terms with the consequences of the shocking and tragic events of over forty years ago.©2013 Susan Elliot Wright (P)2015 Simon & Schuster

lacked cohesiveness
What I liked most was the imagery of events. It was as if I were actually seeing some of the things happen. What I liked least is that I never really comprehended how all of the characters related to one another.

Absolutely loved this story of Hope
A mother’s love triumphs!
Heartwarming restoration of life out of the wreckage of trauma!!!
Although the story was very difficult to follow at first, it managed to start making sense and then I was hooked on rooting for the characters which were so well delvoped. I really loved them. It’s one of those books I find was sad to for it to end bc I’d miss the characters. Stick with it and it will fall into place.
Narration was superb! I liked her style so much, I plan to look for other books narrated by her.

A Good Listen
This was a different book than others I have listened to recently. It was suspenseful….I wasn’t quite sure what would happen next and how the characters were going to be “related.” The narration would just crack me up at times! I look forward to more stories from this author.
