Publisher's summary

It was supposed to be my year, but then he made a bet that I couldn't refuse…

As a star senior on the Tiff U volleyball team, it's been my goal to come back strong after an injury that nearly took me out of the game. I'm Laney freaking Price, and I'm taking my shot to make it on the new pro women's team, despite the lack of support from my father.

The problem? Cutter McCreary. He is the captain of the Tiff U hockey team, an all-around loveable guy, and a total player. Did I mention a complete thorn in my side since freshman year? Yeah… that guy. His charms don't tempt me.

Until a mix-up with our housing situation forces us into a bit of a predicament. We were both promised a room. The same room.

His proposal? A bet. We split the room in half—for now. Whoever falls in love with the other first has to move out. The winner gets to stay. When strategic glances turn into late-night talks, and fake kisses start to feel real, I'm finding myself without a game plan. And winning suddenly doesn't feel like the only thing that matters.

Cute and spicy sports romance.”

Book 1 of the final score trilogy. Enemies to lovers trope. Volleyball and hockey collide in this college sports romance. Opposites attract. Love Cutter and Lainey together. He is the sunshine to her grumpy. He is challenged by her, and she finds comfort in and balance with him. Has found family vibes as well. Enjoyed this listen. Narration and pace of story was good. Looking forward to reading the next book. Can be read as a standalone.

kind of a wild ride

okay this story is absolutely enemies to lovers when they say it's enemies to lovers they aren't kidding. you know sometimes those enemies to lovers they fall too fast for one another but that's not really how this story rolls she really cannot stand him and really if it wouldn't have been for the fact that she's a competitor she's very Sports minded and very much a competitor I don't know if they ever would have mashed if it wouldn't have been for the BET of the room. which made I think the story even better she realizes that he's not the jerk she thought he was and it just I really enjoyed the story she has a lot of different things going on just like he does so of course that makes for more of a story but again I love the way they initially got together because it was perfect because of it being enemies to lovers and they are both competitors that is really the way it came together and it was a it was brilliant. the narrator's both did a very good job it kept they kept me in the story did not distract me in any way they I could definitely see both of them as the characters so they did a fantastic job.
