Publisher's summary

With Rotten Rena failing in all her wicked spells she is warned that she faces being expelled from the Witches Union unless she "bucks her ideas up" - and how can she do this? Well of course one person who has the answer and who always knows best is Rotten Rena's mother who forces her to enter the witches great egg and cauldron race. Poor old Rotten Rena simply hasn't got a hope of winning especially when her Cauldron runs away.

So the Treebob's faced with Rena being replaced by a far more wicked witch who would be much worse than Rena decide to help Rena win the race in the most wonderfully wicked way you can imagine!

Critic reviews

"The Treebobs and the Runaway Cauldron is a fun audio book for kids that combines an engaging story with silly sound effects to keep kids entertained. It was a big hit in our household, particularly for the six and eight year olds, but everyone enjoyed listening. If you’re looking to foster a love of reading and storytelling in your kids, consider putting on a story when they’re playing quietly. They’ll love it." (The Blogger, Games Fiends)

Amazing book for young children.

Where does The Treebobs and the Runaway Cauldron rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It was the first audiobook I have listened to, however from now on I will listen to more. The Treebobs and the runaway cauldron is a funny book & it is full of surprises.

What did you like best about this story?

I think it is a very child-friendly book, and also it is easy for young children to understand. As well as everything else it is packed full of funny sound effects for doors closing, and moving and many more. I love the characters especially Rotten Rhina, and it is very fun to listen to I love the story. It is very interesting, and different, I think it is quite unique and remarkably detailed. The names are very good as well.

What does Lindsay Abbott bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She brings expression and she makes the book alive. Her voice is nice to listen to. She gives excitement and makes the story come to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was a great book to listen to in one go.

Any additional comments?

a magical version of an egg and spoon race

Where does The Treebobs and the Runaway Cauldron rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The treebobs and the giant mole is probably still my favourite but this is a book that would take many listenings so much in it

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Treebobs and the Runaway Cauldron?

the arrival of the flying hat and the pixie- really builds anticipation of what on earth is going to happen now

Have you listened to any of Lindsay Abbott’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This one has even more characters , hard to believe its the same person...even each witch sounds different ...and the pixie has just a hint of evil

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

well it was strange to find i was cheering rotten rena on !

Any additional comments?

I love how the treebobs are the brains of the outfit
