Publisher's summary

Elyana is an elven adventurer devoted to helping innocents escape the madness of revolutionary Galt. Together with her band of bold human companions, she is a powerful force for freedom and one that many Galtan leaders would happily see tied up at the bottom of a guillotine. When one of their allies is gravely injured, it's up to Elyana and the wizard Arcil to buy time by leading the enemy on a wild chase into the dark depths of the Verduran Forest. Yet there may be more than anyone expects lurking beneath the forest's twisted boughs, and evils even greater than Galtan necromancers waiting to be awakened....

Superb

Howard Andrew Jones is one of my favorite authors.
He blends sword and sorcery and fantasy perfectly. His pathfinder books are just pure genre fiction fun.
The reader sounded like she recorded in a bubble but I gave this little short story a shot and actually found it listenable. She is otherwise highly talented. I'm now going to go listen to the others!
