Small Town Romance

HOWEVER it was worth every single minute of heartbreak.

Welcome to Almond Bay, Hattie has returned home. She failed out of her graduate program and has been struggling with the grief surrounding her sister's passing. She wants to be close to her other siblings...but once she returns home they seem determined to give her space.

Hayes is back in Almond Bay, he's done with his tour and needs some time to regroup. When he notices things disappearing he suspects his assistant, and conveniently Matt's ex, Hattie, returns the items to Hayes. But Hayes isn't going to let Hattie off scott free...she's going to work for him and help him get his life in order...or at least his house.

This story was so beautiful, the characters have so many layers and Meghan covered some really heavy topics with grace. And then Vanessa and Teddy came into the equation...their performance was amazing. It is performed in duet narration, Vanessa voices are all the female voices and Teddy voices all of the male voices. The broad range of voices Vanessa effortlessly goes in and out of, the emotion she conveyed with Hattie, the absolute brilliance that she was with Gran and Mac...I just loved everything she did with this one. And Teddy was the perfect match for Vanessa. I could feel the turmoil of Hayes through Teddy's words.

Can we please give a round of applause to Meghan. You did it again. I loved this book so incredibly much. I keep saying that each book I read by you is a new favorite.. but I can confidently say that this one is at the tippy top of the list! I am seriously beating myself up for not reading this sooner.

I honestly don't even know how to put into words how to review this book. I experience so many emotions while reading this. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. I blushed. Good god this was so damn good. Hayes and Hattie are everything I love in a good rom com. The banter between these two were top notch. I was seriously laughing so hard I was crying sometimes. The story of these two was just so beautifully written and so well developed! I truly felt like I knew each of them. The tension, angst, frustration, and just over all feelings toward each other was perfect. Even though this story most surrounds Hattie and Hayes, the side characters and stories left me wanting more of them! I love when a book makes me fall in love with all of the characters in the book and wanting their stories. I am seriously foaming at the mouth for Maggies book. I know that one is going to be stellar!

Please read this! You will not regret it!

Vanessa and Teddy truly brought this story to life. I absolutely love audio books that have dual narration throughout the entire book.

I wish every single audiobook was duet. Teddy and Vanessa perfectly encapsulate Hattie and Hayes and can we talk about those spicy scenes?????? I knew Teddy would be great, but Vanessa’s performance was FIVE STARS!

This book hit ALL the feels!! It’s hilarious and touching at the same time! The narration was excellent!! Another great story by Meghan Quinn! Hope we get more from the rest of the group🤞🏽😊

I absolutely adored this book! The narration was great, storyline was great, and the character were amazing. I really hope we get Ryland, Aubrey, Maggie and Abel’s books!!

Way too long!

This story went on and on and I found myself checking to see how many more hours I would need to endure. By the time this was finally over i could have cared less about the characters and if they got a HEA.

One of the best in the genre for 2023

This was not only one of Megan’s best but one of the best in the genre. The story was great, but the duet narration was the best. They voiced great emotion and pacing when needed.
It not only had the 2 main characters but well developed supporting cast.
I was as drawn to listening as Hayes and Hattie were to each other.
