Publisher's summary

Lady Betty has no interest in the duke of Collingham. She doesn't care that he's fabulously wealthy or devastatingly handsome or impeccably well dressed. All she sees is an arrogant nobleman with an abrasive personality and an annoyingly persistent streak.

And the duke of Collingham is persistent. He can have any woman in the whole of society - but the one who won't have him is the only one he wants. And he'll stop at nothing to persuade her.

ok but not my favorite

it was pretty good, but there was a little too much evil for this type of book.

Good Stories

I enjoyed these two books, but I am confused about two characters. In book one, the stepmother was named Hettie and her daughter was named Sally. However, in book two, the stepmother was referred to as Sally and the daughter was named Hester. In any case, I enjoyed the characters and the story line.

Enjoyed the story.

Good story, BUT….
It was scary and had some sinister aspects. I’m not a big fan of that kind of story but it was entertaining none the less.

Left hanging but….

I found the sequel that answers the questions that that we were left at the end. By accident I found the answers in The Westerby Sisters. It’s a completely different series and the description gives no indication that it is the sequel to The Westerby Inheritance. Why do they make us work so hard to find the sequel??

Cliffhanger Ending. Listen 2 This !

The ONLY thing I did not like was ___. I cannot say. The moment you hear it you will understand. I gotta say, I kept waiting but my moment of vindication did not come.

I REALLY liked the story. I laughed out loud in public. I had my ear piece on. This story tells what happened to Jane and Charles and their baby.

Then it picks up the lives of the step-sisters.

If I comment on anything that happened that I liked particularly I would spoil it for everyone. I would REALLY like Philadelphia to get her just reward. But, I suppose she did in a way.

Read the series, I paid for this one and don't mind at all.
