About this listen

My husband is missing. And his wife is on my doorstep.

The wife I never knew he had. Does that mean my husband’s out looking for wife number three? The more I dig...the more I find.

Ledger Stone is not the man I thought I knew. What I'd thought was a whirlwind romance has turned out to be a hurricane laced with lies. It started with one. Will it end with another?

The Wife Lie is a domestic suspense novel where secrets are buried deep. Penny Stone gave up everything for the husband she thought she knew—and now she must uncover the truth: just how much of her marriage was a lie? And is their love worth fighting for?

Engaging Story

Enjoyed the author's writing style, and the story held my interest. I was a smidge disappointed with the villain and their motive, as I sorta guessed too soon, and the dialogue in the scene where the villain is revealed is a tad cheesy, but not bad enough to ruin the story for me. I just wish authors would learn to write more realistic bad guys/girls.

The narrator Great Story Predictable

Super predictable and corny. The heroine cries and whines and cries some more. Very repetitive. I kept forwarding 30 seconds a lot. Boring. I wasted my time...and money

A sweet little thriller

This was a real easy read, easy to listen to. The narrator was very good. I had a twist at the end I didn’t expect, which is always nice.

Only complaint is all the whining the main character seems to do. We know she loves her kids and we know that they are the world to her but it did seem to be repeated way more often than necessary. Also, there seem to be jumps that the reader was supposed to take without any knowledge of it.

Overall though, I really liked it

Just okay

The dialogue wasn’t terrible but also wasn’t great. The story was full of suspense and my predictions weren’t spot on so it did keep me guessing.
