Publisher's summary

Five international vacationers, strangers to each other, misfits running from their daily lives, are brought together at the same small seaside Hotel of Dreams, by a rental scam, an international art heist, passion, murder, and a haunting.

It had seemed like the perfect getaway for Malibu's famous TV private investigator, Mac Reilly, and his girlfriend/partner, Sunny Alvarez, along with his three-legged, one-eyed rescue dog, Pirate, and her snippy three-pound fiend on four paws, the chihuahua Tesoro. But now they find themselves having to sort out the misfits' lives, including two lonely children on the trail of the mystery, as well as solve a crime and a murder, all against the sunny, glamorous backdrop of St. Tropez.

Slow moving, not an exciting story line, not cohesive.

Slow moving. Hard to like a couple of the characters. A disappointment, overall. Expected more excitement from such a beautiful setting.

Great!!

I enjoyed reading this book. It has intrigue, mayhem, & murder. The characters are a mix match bunch & carried me away with them to France.

Th e re is a little bit of everything in this book. The absolute. Best part of this book is the ending. I never saw it coming.

Great summer read!

This is a great summer read! A combination of a mystery/suspense thriller and a romantic mystery-- something for everyone and a nice, light listen for the heat of the summer. In general, little if any language -- even a teenager could listen to this and not be offended -- they probably hear worse at school! The mystery unravels slowly, intertwined with other events, all intriguing. It made me want to find other books by Ms. Adler!

Nice story plot - lots of unnecessary details

After listening to “Last to Know” (which I really enjoyed) I started this series; however, it does not have the same appeal to me personally. The overall plot and story line is good, but there are just a lot of details and descriptions that left me rolling my eyes. This series tends to focus a lot on materialistic details such as the type of shoes, bags, clothes, hair styles, etc… and as the narrator is reading all of these descriptions they tend to go on and on and didn’t add any substance to the book in my opinion. I listened to the book and will probably listen to the others in the series on audible to pass the time as they do not currently require credits to listen. It is one of those listens where you can multi-task and not get lost with what is going on. Again, good plot/mystery- but the over the top details and some of the shallow details/character focus left me wanting to stop listening at times.

St Tropez

This book was hard to get into at first, then lasted forever, but with so many characters having their own story, it’s really the only way it could have gone. It’d be a good road trip book.

Love

For real I need to see this turned into a movie it was so good. I love this author. ☺️ I feel like the cover should have been Fiona and Michael from Burn Notice in tropical attire. To really show the epicness that is contained within this book.

An excellent way to travel to San Tropez via arm chair

This is the 3rd book I’ve read by this author and enjoyed. She does a wonderful job at character development and makes you feel that you are right along side the characters enjoying the sights, sounds and views.

Malibu Nights is sooo much better

One of Those Malibu Nights was such a great listen that I couldn't wait for my credits to get this one. I PAID CASH!

The story took forever to get started and once it has I'm not very intrigued. A few of the characters are interesting, most are annoying.

The dilemma that I'm faced with is this... Do I waste my money and stop listening or waste my time and continue?

I just want it to be over.
