There is enough in this world to be enchanted with, whether we are children spontaneously wonderstruck, or adults with a romantic bent of nature or otherwise. Believing that everything in this world, visible and invisible, animate and inanimate, has feelings and intelligence can be transformative. The stories in this collection lead us through an enchanted path into a new world. They help us reconnect with nature and the many beings who share the planet with us; not just birds, insects, and animals, but fairies, gnomes, and tree spirits. They help us see the soul in objects too, so that we can live in a world of meaningful relationships, tender and sweet, deep and lasting, with all we interact with. They invite us to take the hero’s journey and launch into the spirit world that is right here, interpenetrating our world, influencing it, shaping it, and transforming it.
These stories are also written for educators, parents, and teachers who want to instill good values in children—of beauty and love, sharing and caring, humility and simplicity. Children who are encouraged to dream and fantasize will become creators of a new world. As we aspire for that new world to manifest, we feel the need for such dreamers, children, and adults, who will guide us and renew the planet.
