About this listen

Jane Finch is trapped in a bunker with a zombie. Grey saved her life, but she's got no idea how to manage him in an enclosed space. Especially when he's built like a superhero and very hungry . . .

The challenge of sharing close quarters with a zombie gets even more complicated when Jane tells her parents about her new arrangement—and they've got a surprise for her, too. Staying in the bunker isn't an option, because the Americans are threatening to nuke the entire area. Grey is regaining pieces of his humanity, but a rescue team won't trust him. Or make space for her Great Dane, Schroddie. And Jane won't leave either of them behind.

Rescue or not, Jane, Schroddie, and Grey have to get out of the blast radius.

A stolen car and an overprotective zombie get her and Schroddie all the way to the forward base—a base they find overrun with zombies. She grows closer with Grey and the lines of their relationship blur. She knows they'll survive as long as they're together—then Jane and Schroddie are kidnapped by power-hungry insurgents.

Grey will follow. He will get Jane back.

Even if it means unleashing the monster inside him.

Contains mature themes.

Great zombie romance story

This book has great action, thrills and romance as well as plenty of zombies. It’s a great read/listen!

Excellent!!

This series is excellent! Fresh take on the zombie genre. The story keeps your interest from being to end. Not your typical predictable zombie story. Narration is excellent. Everything combined makes a excellent listen. Each book gets better and better. Really looking forward to the third installment!

Good, but…

The story is really good. Absolutely worth the buy. Only two complaints. Jane our heroine is grotesquely ignorant and naive about how other people think. She seems to always assume everyone sees as she does even when they weren’t there to see what she sees.
The other is that I desperately do not like duets. One character being voiced by multiple VAs is too confusing for me. Elements of the voice and personality of the character are always different.

they commit to the rooroos

This is a fun series and the narrators really commit. They both committed to all the noises the dog makes, and the noise the feral zombies make startles me every time. I read these in ebook a year ago and couldn't stop thinking how I wanted to read then again but in audio. not disappointed.

This Series is Awesome!

"Three Weeks in Undead Shoes" is the 2nd book in this series and while the first book was mostly about a girl and her dog followed by a shadow this one we got to see Gray and Jane interact with more people and we get to see how humans can sometimes be just as bad as feral zombies. I never thought I would have a crush on a zombie but here we are. Troy Kain's voice is wonderful, shame that they didn't do this in duet. And don't forget Freya Ravensbergen's dog 'roos' lol...some reviewers found them annoying, I didn't - I enjoyed her performance equally as Tom's.

4 starz - I would listen again
