Fantastic story

Well researched with great narration. I highly enjoyed this book. Awesome suspense. Don't be swayed by the negative reviews. The narrator did an excellent job.

Quality of Recording Lacking

This recording sounds like it was off of a vinyl record. There is static and as much as 20 second gaps in sound - and not always between chapters.

The story itself is ok - not one Crichton's best, but the science concepts are fascinating.

If you liked Jurassic Park, you'll enjoy Timeline

The story definitely feels very familiar. A big tech corp has some cutting edge technology that promises to do what people previously thought was impossible. Someone needs rescuing. An unwitting crew of experts in various related fields are assembled and sent out to rescue. Adventure follows. Not everyone makes it back in one piece.

If you l liked JP, you'll probably like this, but get it on sale or something because the storyline is pretty similar and the narration is a little iffy (the tone and pitch, etc vary wildly between tracks, almost sounds like a different person at times)

One of Crichton's best

I love the story; and the way the teller tells it is excellent and lively. Only one criticism is that his voice for Cordon is so quiet I can barely hear him at times. Great audio book for fans of Crichton, fantasy, history, and a little bit of sci-fi.

Fun Story.

I enjoyed the story. Would have liked more wrap up of the characters from the begining of the book. But this is fairly typical of the author.

If you like MC its worth the read.

I love this book.

This is perhaps my favorite book of all time. Crichton knocked this one out of the park. The reading is also well done.

Really enjoyed this. The narrator did well except for Gordon as he whispered to quietly.

Just Like the Movie

Lots of fun, but I didn't care for the narrator. Seemed too prissy in his acting out the characters parts. You've got to see the movie, too.

Yes. I like Crichton's writing style.

How could the performance have been better?

Audio engineering. Voice would go almost to silent and then get extremely loud. Also the reader was at times apathetic in his reading.
