About this listen

The heart of a hero.

In the wilds of a jungle planet, the Legion fights in brutal combat as Republic marines fly their SLICS from one tragedy to the next.

Tin Man

By Oba this one took me be surprise. For a short story it’s got depth and a lot of heart. Oh and plenty of KTF.
Also, for less than 2 dollars you can’t go wrong. Don’t spent a credit use “Cash.” For less the price of a film, you can listen to one of the best short story of the month. H292 is not a character you soon forget.

Outstanding Novella and back story!

I am always excited to see another element added to the Galaxy's Edge reading/listening world. The Anspach, Cole, Bray world has never disappointed me, and this novella was not an exception. The authors continue to fill in the backstories for the characters that we have already journeyed with through the series galaxy changing events. This universe has never lost its edge for me and never disappoints. I recommend The Order of the Centurian series books if you like military-style science fiction. We can only hope that someday a very skilled person will take all of these books and tie them into a great visual space opera for big-screen viewing.

Perhaps the greatest GE story, in its best form

R.C. Bray's narration takes an already outstanding tale, and elevates it to a different level. "Tin Man," is a difficult story, not because of its language or lot, but because of its weight. It validates the bond of brotherhood embodied in a just warrior society, and implicates the foolishness and evil that drives us to fight in the first place. Without saying too much more, I can't help but cry every time I read or hear it, and I'm not ashamed to admit that. To my mind, and somewhat of a spoiler, this recalls the story Billy Joel sang about in "Goodnight Saigon," and reminds me of the heroism of USAF pararescueman William Pittsenbarger, whose posthumous Medal of Honor was unjustly delayed for so many years.

Unexpected "Feels"

Valor
Great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle.

Courage
The ability to do something that frightens one.

Zeal
Great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of a cause or an objective.

This novella is a little over 50 minutes long, and yet it was able to transport me into the world of the "Galaxy Edge" series.

I spoke to pics the emotions of battle and very compelling way. I wasn't expecting to be drawn in so deeply but, I'm grateful for the cathartic release.

If this is a sampling of Galaxy's Edge, I can't wait to get into the series!

Authors deliver again, RC hits it out of the park!

Once again the team of Anspach and Cole deliver on a well crafted story, further fleshing out the GE universe!

RC Bray. What else do I have to say? The Voice of Galaxy's Edge KTFs in another awesome performance. His voice and narrative skills continue to bring alive the audible element of grittiness essential to A&C's Galaxy's Edge.

Worth it.

Have to admit my expectations for a novella were not as high as a full length story, but this tale packs every bit as much punch as one of the larger Galaxy’s Edge books, albeit in a condensed format.

Tin Man adds depth and context to the larger saga. Will hit you in the feels, guaranteed.

Don't Miss This!!

It's a very worthwhile hour to spend listening. A twist I did not see coming makes this a standout little story. The action is great and the narration perfect but it's a story that has heart. Highly recommend!

Captured me

this short story was very well written and will push me to listen to all installments of the Saga. I was engrossed in the relationship of the characters and RC Bray is as good as it gets when narrating.
