Publisher's summary

Reese Conlon’s much anticipated family leave is only two weeks away, and nothing is going to stand in the way of her being at her wife’s side for the upcoming birth—not even the summer crowds in Provincetown, a new rookie cop with a hero complex, and a cruise ship at anchor in the harbor with a reported outbreak of a mysterious illness.

Andy Champlain might be a rookie cop, but she was raised by a family of cops, and she’s ready to take on any challenge, if she only gets the chance. With a disaster brewing in Provincetown Harbor, a journalist who’ll do anything for a story, and sexy summer PA, Laurel Winter, at the local clinic, she’s about to have all the excitement she can handle.

Before long, Reese, Tory, Laurel, and Andy are caught up in the gathering storms of an epidemic that could threaten all their lives.

Summary didn't match the book

It was enjoyable. The publisher summary is wrong in no way what the book was about.

a little close to reality

the narrating wasn't as good as previous books. think it was hard to distinguish characters after being used to the same person for so long. the subject matter hit to close to home while previous stories have been escape from reality. I hope based of the ending we are looking at another installment down the line. a certain barista and a new emt have some potential. but please bring back all the rest. there was such a lack of the others it was hard to put this in the same collection as the rest of the series

Not the best but still good

First let me say I love allnof Radcliffe 's work and especially this series. The plot description for this book does not match up with the story. I wish they did not switch the narrator although I do love Lorrie Prince but not for this series. lastly, since we're currently living through a pandemic, I would have rather not reed more about it. I would have preferred the plot described on the book (sex trafficking and under cover work)

Best one yet

It’s books like this that let us know Radclyffe is the bet of the best I was glad to see her continue the Provincetown series I enjoyed finding out the going’s on with Reese and Tory and was also glad to see new characters as well which hopefully means more for this series or at least seeing them pop up in another book I love listening to Lori Prince she has a way of pulling you right into the story.

Good , but not the same.

Although Lori did an admirable job performing the novel, over eight books I had grown accustomed to Nicole Zanzarella and her familiar tonality and portrayal of the characters we have all grown to love. It took some getting used to, but in the end it was okay. Something similar occurred with the Honor series when Abbey Craden was replaced for the last installment. Not the same at all, and that one hurt,
I understand that contractual obligations make certain actors unavailable, but it doesn’t change the perception in the end. When it comes to audiobooks, consistency is key. I hope you take this as constructive criticism, Len, but I wanted to be honest. In consolation I do own every book you have ever written and am your most ardent fan. Please keep them coming.
Sincerely,
Brooklyn Graham

Great story. Not so great narration.

I am a huge fan of the Provincetown series. I am so wrapped up in the characters and stories and love the way main characters appear in each story. I was so happy to see that Reese and Tori and all of everyone’s favorite people of Provincetown would be revisited. And I looked forward to Nichol Zanzarella would be back voicing Reese and Tori and Bri and everyone. She will always be the voice of these people to me. Radclyffe delivered big time. The decision to go with a different narrator? Not so much. I hate to criticize someone’s work but this was not good. Through no fault of her I believe. She clearly had no idea of Provincetown’s history. She gave Reese the voice and tone of a 45 year old male chauvinist pig. Reese is a hero to Provincetown and a marine who’s been in a war and all of the love she has for Tori would ever use those tones wither her! And everyone else sounded like valley girls. Very disappointed. I’m going to purchase the Kindle and read it. When I read character lines I’ll have to picture their voices in my head the way Nichol did them.

Need back original reader

Love the continued story. Did not like the new reader. she missed the tone of the pre-existing characters. Making everyone sound tired and drawn out lazy unsure tones. This was the first time in the searies I did not want to finish the book. just disappointed in the new voice.

love it

Great combo, Radclyffe story telling, Prince narrating. Prince brings characters alive, I look forward hoping for more from both

You will so love this book.

I felt this book could stand alone, even though it was part of a long series. The writing style was a bit different, lots of the same characters but definitely a different feel to the story than before in the other books, which has a connection, a smooth flow to them. This one felt cut off from the rest. The narration was great. Lori did a great job. There were parts of the story line that were not addressed properly, so I felt the author shouldn't have brought it up so much. I hope if there's another, it will fell in the blanks, and tie the books in better.
However, it's still a great read.. so get your copy today.
