Publisher's summary

Hundreds of years in the future, humans have spread out across the universe, discovering and settling new worlds. But along the way, they have forgotten their origin. Why has the past been forgotten? What clues could help uncover the mystery of mankind's beginnings? And why does the quest become dangerous? The adventure unfolds in Brock Eastman's Quest for Truth series, as archaeologists Elliot and Laura Wikk are mysteriously kidnapped in the midst of their search for mankind's origins.

Determined to find and rescue their parents, young Oliver Wikk and his siblings dodge danger and uncover clues of their own, finding themselves drawn as much to the search for truth as to the search for their parents.

Overall A Good Story

Would you consider the audio edition of Truthful Test: An Oliver Wikk Adventure to be better than the print version?

We liked listening to it. My 11 year old son and I listened to it together. He gave the performance audio three stars because her voice didn't show much emotion.

What did you like best about this story?

My son liked how the author wrote the story with a lot of action, using strong verbs to create suspense.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes it did match the pace of the story.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Truthful Test is a very fitting title and tag line.

Any additional comments?

This is one of my son's favorite authors. He likes how the author writes in a fast paced yet suspenseful way. I like how he incorporates good lessons, and morals. The only thing my 11 year old said he would change about it, is he would make it longer. He loves spending hours reading Brock Eastman's books.

great short story!

Several in our family listened to this and all thought it was great. So me were disappointed it wasn't a longer story. I, the mom, appreciated the value being taught and reinforced. I liked that you included listening to the wisdom of parents and following the "gut" feeling of something being wrong. However, I didn't particularly like the narration, it was choppy and almost sounded like a computer. I also thought a male voice would have been better because this is Oliver's story. Thanks again for an action packed, meaningful story that all of us enjoyed!

Good Short Story for All Ages

For anyone that has a morning commute, or if you just have some time to kill, this is a good short that anyone can enjoy.

The main character is getting ready to take pivotal flight test that his career at the Naval Academy depends on. He visits the simulator on the night before the test to get one final practice session in. When his simulation ends, a glitch in the computer gives him the option to take the examination simulation in instructor mode. Barely passing the course, he is faced with the dilemma of possibly failing the course, or sacrificing his morals and cheating...

This was definitely more of a young adult science fiction story, but I think just about anyone can enjoy it. The simulation scene was exciting, and I wish the whole story could have been longer.
Narration was good as well. Enjoy!

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, publisher, or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. I was NOT required to write a positive review and this reflects my honest opinion of the work.

Great Book Showing Oliver's Backstory!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this to a friend because it fills in Oliver's past. There's a lot of action packed into a 30-minute audiobook.

What did you like best about this story?

I like that while it showed what life was like for Oliver before the Quest for Truth, it also had a moral to it.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene is when he's faced with a difficult decision. It really shows Oliver's character.

Truthful Test

This was an awesome prequel to the Quest for Truth series. I loved how it showed the importance of morals and how it told you what happened before Taken.

Excellent short story

Disclaimer: I got this audio book for free from the author. My thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

The story was excellent! Even though I knew Oliver was in a simulation, that whole experience was tense for me. I really like the Q4T series.

I did not really care for the narrator though. Generally, I don't listen to audio books because I am so picky about the reader.

So my honest review is: great story, not so great narrator.
