Publisher's summary

Loss of life, destruction, unending pain and misery - the results of war never seem to make sense. But war is also a breeding ground for illogical occurrences, coincidences, premonitions, mysteries, and twists of fate. Over 100 of these events are detailed here.

Critic reviews

"What do 50 doctors in Hawaii, a lost dog tag, and a $212 unpaid storage fee have in common? They are just a few of the strange occurrences, odd coincidences, and unexplained mysteries of World War II collected here by Breuer, who offers a less serious look at a very serious subject. Some of the oddities he unearthed include a candy bar that saved a life and a German spy living next to the top British spy-catcher. Anyone interested in twists of fate should find this book fascinating." (Library Journal)

Unexplained Mysteries of World War ll.

Interesting book. There was alot of short interesting stories about WW ll that I have never heard of. I would recommend this to other people. It was a good book.

Not what the title says it is

Anyone who's read any history of WWII will know most of these "mysteries." In fact, the book is a compilation of facts, and not mysteries at all. To make matters worse, the facts aren't very detailed.

I listened to most of it, but gave up after half-way through after giving it a chance to improve. Good for anyone wanting a first exposure WWII, but that would the the only audience.

Many neat points for non-history buffs.

Many points called unexplained, but mostly because the multitude of history available isn't read by many but history buffs.
