Wonderful Crime/Romance Series!

The “Mob Boss” series by Nicole Fox is really good! Each book in the series has different characters and different story lines, so each book can easily stand on its own and can be read in any order.

There are a lot of things to love in the series: mob strategy, action, car chases, mansions, wealth, shootouts, torture/killing of opposing mob members, hot sex, beautiful people, etc. The female characters in the books are also gutsier and stronger than many of those in the dark romances that I’ve previously read. Narration is superb, by two very talented people who clearly and believably communicate the various moods of the scenes.

I think the series is so under-appreciated, since there is a 4.5 star average rating, but not many reviews. To all the fans of mob drama, crime thrillers, and dark-ish romance, get these books on audio or Kindle! You won’t be disappointed!

Ending not good enough for me

The author does a great sorry all the way, but somehow she is all over the place with books ending. This happens with all her books. She would get a 5 star if she was writing a more believable ending. Too rushed at the end. Needed more about his position and what happens with his mafia life. Too bad the book would of be an A plus.

Loved this Series

This was once again another really great story by Nicole. I loved every minute of it and also really enjoyed the suspense!

This was an enjoyable mafia read. It was book 5 in the series, and I hadn't previously read any of the others, so was worried about that, but it was such a standalone, that I don't even know who the previous 4 couples would be. There were a few things towards the end that I found a little too out there, but otherwise, a good story. I listened to the audiobook, and really liked it. I believe that both narrators were new to me, so that was nice.

bravo author for a great great love story this series has everything and some are in the storyline we're talking about romantic gestures hot steamy sex scenes kidnapping Mafia ties with strong alpha male lead narrators awesome jobs are really sold the story for me and I can't wait to continue the next one I just wish this was a little bit longer I wanted to know more about after the wedding and the baby but you can't have it all

Wow.

Honestly, this was a great book. I’m not one to sugar coat about books, but this was a good one. It was short and sweet. Lev truly is a ride or die and Ally is just the same. I kind of wish I didn’t read it so I could re-read it for the first time again lol.

Loved the romance tied with the very morally gray tones

I absolutely LOVED the confliction that Ali had in this story. Her being a daughter of a police chief and someone wanted to be a lawyer, but falling for a Bratva man. It was *chefs kiss*

Spice was spicing, omg. Such great steamy scenes but didn’t overpower the story. The action and threats are there to give some higher stakes. And the romance was perfect. Lev was not a man to be trifled with but when it came to Ali, she threw him off his axis.

I highly recommend this one!

I do need to say the blurb and title made me believe the pregnancy trope would have been more heavily involved and where Lev had intentionally wanted her to get pregnant but that wasn’t the case. We do have a surprise pregnancy but it isn’t until towards the end. Either way, I still rated it very high because I at least knew what o was getting into with a pregnancy and honestly, it was great regardless.

I plan on reading more of this author!


Oh and the narrators did a phenomenal job! Great performance. I’ll be looking into what other books they’ve both worked on 😁

Disconnected pieces of story

The story has unrealistic story flow at times. For example the characters in a fight might start in one position and magically morph to another position.

Too many holes

Full discloser, I didn't finish this book, there were just too many holes. SPOILER ALERT - The heroine is attached and hit in the face, she hits her side on a dumpster, and the villian bruised and scratced her neck, YET her chief of police dad did not see any bruises on her face or her person, in fact, aside from a brief mention of the scratches on her neck, the injuries were completly ignored, not even a passing mention of hiding it all with makeup. Next, she hugs the hero and gets blood on her clothes, YET when she got home, her paramedic best friend didn't notice the blood??? Then the writer makes a point of mentioning that she dropped her purse when she had a flashback, yet there was no mention of her ever picking up the purse.

There were just too many holes and it got so annoying I stopped listening. It's like the writer included all that detail to make the scenes believable, and they were, but then she completely forgets she added those details and moved on to the next scene without taking any of it into consideration.

All in all, not worth the credit.

This was so bad. FMC was so annoying and whiny. This was almost juvenile and so predictable.
