A beautiful, inspiring story! Perfect for the Easter season!

It’s been a long time since I’ve loved a book this much! It was a beautiful, well-written book that kept me engaged & intrigued!!! It was the perfect ending of my Lent sacrifice-to only read & listen to books about Jesus. It prepared my heart for Easter this Sunday! I can’t wait for more books to come out in the series! This book is on my tops favorite lists of all time!

Love of Jesus

My heart is full and I feel hope, faith and relief from strain. A story of not just human love, but that of our God and Father. I admire Martha’s strength and reading about her encouraged me to strive to be mindful of my own strifes to overcome. To not worry so much. To let the pain go.

That we are all human and even in His presence, due to the pressures of life, we experience doubt. Give ourselves grace and be thankful He bore it all, already, just because of love.

I truly enjoyed the story that was told.

I really can't think of anything I didn't like. I think it differed from the actual story but then history doesn't tell us much of these characters after Jesus rose from the dead.

Jesus is the Son of God

I liked the whole story and wouldn’t change anything. The narrator is one of my favorites.

Don't read if you are Catholic

This book contains what Catholics consider Heresy. It includes the idea that Jesus has brothers and sisters. I was half way through the book when this was woven into the story and was very dissapointed that this concept was included. It was not necessary for the story line, but the author chose to include it anyway. I do understand that the author is not Catholic, but do not understand the decision to include such a controversial topic among Christians - a known doctrine in Catholicism is that Mary never had any children other than Jesus. It was obviously a deliberate decision to include it and also an unfortunate decision, as I will not be able to recommend this book to anyone I know, but rather will be warning them not to read it. I also will not be finishing this book.
For those who are not Catholic, I can only review the first half of the book and will say that the reader does a great job and the story line is interesting and flows well.
