About this listen

Six years ago federal agent Samantha Moon was the perfect wife and mother, your typical soccer mom with the minivan and suburban home. Then the unthinkable happens, an attack that changes her life forever. And forever is a very long time for a vampire.

Now in Vampire Games, Samantha Moon is hired to look into the suspicious death of a popular fighter—and quickly discovers there’s far more to the story than meets the eye. As she uncovers clues into the boxer’s past, she will come face-to-face with something unexpected...and something only whispered about. Additionally, Samantha must confront the growing supernatural powers of those closest to her—and a betrayal that will rock her world.

Great Series*

I'm totally hooked on this series. I must admit that it is hard to continue to leave review after review. I apologize to Ms. Rain. It's just that each book is equally as good as the rest. You've done a wonderful job. I definitely recommend reading the entire series. *📚📖📘

Vampires and kids, oh my!

Vampire Games is another great Samantha Moon vampire investigation story. A boxer does from a head injury but the winner doesn't believe it. Sam's werewolf boyfriend and her ex-boyfriend make very poor choices!
The narration was perfect yet again which I am thankful for!

Vampire Games

I really do like the book but sometimes I motif the author repeats the same sentences.

Great story, great narrator

If you could sum up Vampire Games in three words, what would they be?

Entertaining, thrilling, intriguing

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is Sam. She is complex and likable.

Have you listened to any of Dina Pearlman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to any of her other performances, but I liked this one. She does the voices of other characters really well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes

Any additional comments?

the books are great.

More of a Novella

Quick easy listen. Half on the changes in her family (interesting development with the kids) and half on work. An interesting mystery that would have been hard to guess. Personal life going down the tubes. Getting a little tired of her calling herself a monster. Seems to happen at least once every book. You'd think after all this time she'd start to learn to accept herself and stop calling herself a monster. Didn't really like the way the Fang story is going.

Narrator did a great job.

Wonderful Story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would, actually I did, for the reason I like the other stories in this series. It has most things one looks for in a work of fiction. Such things as humor, suspense, times you want to cry and times you say Yea!

Which scene was your favorite?

When main charactor has here children at Cold Stone and they "Pinky Swear" to protect each others secrets. It sounds like something my sisters and I would do.

Love um

I'm at this level and I love all the books so far. They make you mad, sad, happy, and sometimes wanting to just kill someone. Keep them coming.

Story is well told, but really needs to be longer

Per the norm, JR Rain tells an interesting story where you want to keep listening, but also per the norm it's a short story where I feel like there could be some multi-tasking by the main characters going on where the story could be more complex and interesting, definitely longer, more.

I usually give this series a 4 or 5 star review but this story goes on and on and on too much about her kid, how much she loves him, etc; 90 some odd percent of the story was wrapped around the kid. I'm a parent with 4 kids myself so when I want to get lost in a good story which includes getting an escape from my own kids, not to listen to an entire story about someone else's.
