About this listen

Victor.

No last name. Totally mysterious. He doesn't talk. He's insanely hot. And now...I'm supposed to be spending every Thursday with him???

When my dad asked me to tutor the son of an important business associate, I thought I was agreeing to teach a little kid.

Victor's definitely not a kid. In fact, it's hard to believe we're even the same age. He's way more powerful than any boy I've ever met.

Also, way more intense. He stares at me in this weird way. It almost feels like obsession.

But there's no way he could be attracted to me like I'm attracted to him. I'm just an overweight nerd with secret dreams I've never dared to tell anyone.

Until him.

I tell him all of my secrets.

But will I be able to handle it when I find out all of his?

This is a good story

I really love this series I have read and listened to everyone. Always chopping on the bit for the next story. This won't be the best for everyone but I really love it.. Took some getting use to the new narrators for Ms. Taylors books but it didn't take too long.

yet another hit!

I don't know how Theodora does it! I mean everything she pins is awesome. I have not had not one bad read from her. unfortunately, I did not enjoy the voices on this one as much as I enjoy Clementine Dove. but this story grabs youso much that I was easily able to get over the voices

Loved, Loved, Loved It!

So good, listen while working around the house and at my desk. Lover Mrs.Taylors books anyways, but this audio book with it's perfect narrators had me lost in the world of Victor and Dawn!

First book in a trilogy with a long time arc.

I made the mistake of paying attention to a very negative review on this book that said that we have yet another naive female main character. I'm glad I went ahead after some thought and bought this book and the two subsequent ones. This starts with a high school girl, but then has a long time arc where this girl grows up, attends college, graduates, and becomes an adult. I don't understand why that reviewer was so negative about this book. There are some problematic themes, so if you have any triggers regarding consent and dominance, you'll want to avoid. Otherwise, it's a great story representative of Theodora Taylor's excellent writing! Love the narrators!

Wish it didn’t end a cliff

The story was great! Less steamy than what I’m used to with TT but still enjoyable. It is more like a YA story, both the hero and heroine are only 17 so I understand why it was less steamy but I just wish sometimes she’d just write one or two long books instead of 3 about the same couple. I’d rather just read 3 books about three separate couples.

young love but entertaining

both early 20 something mixed race Asian people with complex beginning. At times innocent & sweet gestures are over taken by ruthlessness & fantastical situations. Entertaining story with slightly uncomfortable scenes. Worth a credit? sure

Victor her ruthless crush

I like the story but I don’t like women being kidnapped and forced into a marriage. Why didn’t Victor go after her father he was the one behind what happened to him not Dawn and it would have been more ruthless to kill her father than to kidnap dawn .

enjoyable story

Enjoyable story. Narration less so. The heroine reader was ok...kind of slow; I had to speed up. I didn't like the way Victor's voice faded/echoed. I understand what what was trying to be conveyed but it was odd. Neither emoted very much. However I will still purchase next the next books in the series regardless of narrators.

Good

I had already read this book before I purchased it on audible. I missed my narrator Clementine Dove but these Narrators did a great job

I like it

It’s a very captivating story of a Triad leader heir and a naive American girl growing up falling in love in Japan.
