Publisher's summary

From the mind of the man Stephen King calls "a master of the macabre", comes a brilliant new collection of no-punches-pulled horror stories, some never-before-collected and many originals that have never been published anywhere before. Bentley Little can take the innocuous, twist it around, and write a story that will change your way of thinking. Walking Alone: Short Stories is a shining example of his talent to scare you, creep you out, and make you shudder.

Classic Bentley Little

These stories certainly put the BITE in bite sized. I love how he can make over the top, over used horror tropes hilarious.

stories of a different kind

I thought most of the stories were great as others made no sense leaving the listener how to finish it
I like the fact that not all of the stories were gory and nasty. I would love to read more

Just a meh.....

I’ve found Mr Little’s novels very entertaining. He is a master storyteller in that form. However, I wasn’t at all entertained by the collection. Some were just ho-hum, others were predictictible and a couple were, in my opinion, just plain dumb (sheep, really?). I listened to all, hoping for something of interest, but it was never found.

It was okay

I was hoping to like it more , but the stories ranged from bizarre to okay . I actually flipped through a couple because I really didn't like it .
I'm just glad I didn't use a credit on it.

A strange collection of stories

I've listen to some novels by Bentley Little before and found them quite good. Unfortunately I can't say the same of "Walking Alone". Most of the stories were too bizarre for my taste and a few were out right disturbing. However, I did find it interesting that my old Alma mater, Lund University in Sweden, has made some radical advances in material science (Jorgensen's Fence). I wasn't aware of that :)

While I didn't enjoy this book much it did leave me with a few questions. Who is Armstrong and what did he do to the author?

Was good.. but

Every story ended on a cliffhanger. The first half of the stories kept me interested. The rest kinda lost my interest. Or just didn't make sense. I understand this was probably for a reason. To keep you thinking. I'd still recommend it. Just lost me a few times.

My 1st Bentley Little book.....

I enjoyed these stories. A few of them were very good and some of them were above average and fun. I only had one I didn't enjoy and another that I wouldn't have missed if left out of the book.
I'd definitely recommend to any friend who likes sci-fi or fiction mixed with horror.

Simplistic and entertaining

Loved this book, it's short storyline and simple, easy to follow if you're driving or using this to keep occupied. Don't expect any complicated turn of events. Narrators have done a terrific job. They are clear and easy to follow. Highly recommend

Amazing Collection of Stories

I really enjoyed this collection of short stories that both thrilled and chilled me. Each one was well written and expertly narrated. I definately would recommend this collection to anyone who is a fan of horror, thriller, and the strange (Sci-Fi).

Decent

This was a decent read. Some of the stories were good. Some even funny. A couple didn't make ANY sense. This is definitely not King, which I am used to. It had a more juvenile tone to it and as some of the other reviews said it seems more like it was writren in the 50s listening to some of the slang terms used. If you are easily offended you might skip this one. It was worth a listen but definitely not as good as some of his other books. The readers were excellent.
