Publisher's summary

When Sam Mayfair was 16, her life was shattered by an abuser close to her. News of her abuser's murder 15 years later should have put an end to the torture she's endured because of one decision plaguing her life. But with her stepbrother, Eric, as the prime suspect, she is flung back into the hell of her rural Oklahoma childhood. As she tries to help exonerate him while hiding certain truths of their past from investigators, details of the murder unravel. And she quickly learns some people, including herself, will do anything to keep their secrets buried deep.

Tough story about tough people in Okla

The sexual proclivities described in this book drive the mystery, the suspense, the relationships and the need to keep turning pages. The author makes the case for tolerance and the suspension of judgment of others sexual desires. The book is well written but not for everyone.

Amazing! Edge of your seat!!!

Definitely lots of emotional baggage and deep brokenness in all characters but this book was very good ! Second do this authors I've read and I was pleasantly surprised! Even with all the darkness, light won out in the end.

Way too dark

I love reading thrillers, and suspenseful novels, so this book sounded promising. It was actually very difficult to listen too. It was well written, which kept me going for awhile, but just too many really upsetting circumstances in the story. Very difficult listen.
