Long and drawn out

The story goes over a lifetime of history in a slow way. Onestar is consistently repeating himself and proves to be a pompous fool. Loved his character before he became leader. Narration is not nearly as enjoyable as mcloud.

Took an already bad character and made him worse

note, spoilers ahead

dear god this super edition is the worst one out currently, even worse than yellowfang's secret or leopardstar's honor. at least leopardstar's perspective was interesting and made her unlikable and morally questionable character more complex and interesting. this book just made onestar seem like a complete coward and horrible horrible character with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. it makes you completely hate him

and at the end of this book of onestar making bad decision after bad decision, having him end up in starclan and all is forgiven just feels so unearned and frustrating

not to mention the whole early hint of darktail being some evil-from-birth type villain is so disappointing. but I guess the writers had to do that so they could justify onestar doing what he did, because oh his son was BORN evil, it had nothing to do with onestar being a piece of garbage. darktail, tigerstar, brokenstar, the list goes on of "just born bad!" warriors villains. add another to the pile

I really, really dont like this book. honestly there are a lot of other issues with it but the above mentioned are the most glaring. the narrator did a good job though

A summary of Onestar's mistakes

The main part is mostly about the vision of shadows series, when Onestar became kind of out of his mind.
It tells a lot about what was so curious about the first mention of Onestar's first mate, Smoke and bis treacherous kit Darktail.

Missing Comics

I’ve noticed this unfortunately with the audiobooks accompanying PDFs, they include everything from the actual book, EXCEPT the comics. The comics normally happen at the end of the book, and are considered a continuation of the rest of the story. They are just as important to have included in the books accompanying PDFs. Please make this happen! I love these books and I have for years, I want to appreciate everything that the books and series have to offer. I can’t do that if only a part of the story is available.

Awesome

This book is low on the list of super editions in my opinion but it is also really good and I lived the new reader!

Love OneWhisker...

One whisker was one of my absolute favorite characters because he was a unifier. His story is so sad to me... And yet believable and realistic. So often good people turn complicated by life circumstances and one poor choice often leads to cascade of others. I enjoyed this story. I just wish it was read by McCleod Andrews. It's hard to listen to dozens ifbools with one narrator and then have to switched. Different voice, different ways of saying phrases we've we've heard hundreds of times, different personalities for cats we know so well... If there's to be a narraratir switch it should be a requirement that they listen to prior books in that series before recording.

It’s good but..

So Onestars parents are Wrenflight and Stagleap, but in Tallstars revenge, the two are littermates (siblings) and Wrenflight already had Shrewfoots kits. It’s like Graystripes parent whom are siblings but became mates.

I’m making my own books and keep notes on who’s mates and siblings.. and personally I think the Erin’s should do something like that so that siblings don’t become mates in thre future of warriors.
