Publisher's summary

Send living shadows to drag me to another world? They better be ready for a fight!

I’ve always been a scrapper, so when I was snatched from my world by shadow creatures and hauled to another one, I did as I’d always done. I fought. But I still didn’t know anything about where I was.

My luck was in, because I quickly had the good fortune of meeting a sexy prophetess and a gorgeous, blue-skinned, redheaded mage who said she was something called a moonwisp. Yeah, magic was a thing.

The problem with that? Everyone in the world had some. Magic, that is. Everyone but me. I guess that’s what I get for coming from a non-magic world.

But I’m not the complaining type. I pulled up my big boy pants and started the search for my best friend, Lucas, who had also been abducted. I have to admit, I was more than a little pissed off at the shadow monsters. Enough that I planned on tearing apart every one of them I came across.

Funny thing: as I searched, I found people mistaking me for some long-dead hero. I didn’t know anything about that, but I did know one thing. Regardless of what else happened, I was going to find my friend. With my newly acquired companions by my side, I would burn this new world down if that’s what it took to find Lucas.

I don’t know if shadows can be terrified, but I sure aim to find out.

I was not sure about this title at first. I have precise but eclectic tastes in reading materials. I have to say this was a very pleasant upbeat and great read the narrators were awesome as well

Better than Aerix's last series.

And the Acrishi Sodality is awesome!
Shadow assassins are coming to earth and kidnapping humans to take back to their world and sacrifice for their master.
Our MC and his friend had this happen to them and the MC killed his assassin.
Now he's looking for his friend.
Without magic to help him out, he joins company with some hot women and an annoying satyr.
Great characters and lots of action, intrigue and spice.
Great HaremLit adventure.
I'm giving this book 8.5 out of 5 stars.

ehh....

for a haremlit book it's decent except for the fact that there is no sex. foreplay yes but no sex. in reality Bren would have friend zoned the MC for his lack of assertiveness alone. I imagine that the author is an extra sensitive snowflake whose also a virgin that hasn't figured out how the naughty bits go together.

Great series opener

I can tell this is going to be a good series, the foundation is set in this book and I am really likely its direction. This is a slow build on the relationships and character development. Very well written

The main character is a wimp!

The main character is a useless wimp! Are you kidding me? He doesn’t grab a sword but uses an arrow type weapon! He knows he’s in another world and doesn’t arm himself! Because he’s a wimp and doesn’t kill the slavers because he’s soooo good, I wasted the money on this book. I do not recommend! But it’s your dime.

Slow story line

The book was a bit slow I stopped listening for a while. I actually listened to another book and came back to this one, for a while I was contemplating returning it. but I managed to finish.

remember skinamax?

Dear readers and maybe the Author...

Well I have to say that I've not read anything like this before. The author is either a closet homosexual or his controlling over bearing bossbabe wife is yelling what to write.

The MC is an absolute Biily Badass, there's no question on that...but there's a catch. He's the definition of a beta with women. in the opening encounter with his first woman she says she has to sexually assault him (for research purposes of course) and he's just "yeah!!! That is totally cool!!!"

He doesn't have a backbone with The worthless female lead. he just let's her crap all over him and she owes him her life and freedom but she is about as ungrateful as you can get after their first night together. There's no sex at all halfway through the book because the floppy poopoo head of an MC is friendzoned like a mother fucker and he just doesn't get it.

FYI Beta Author guy, you called the book weapon master... sigh... now I don't know if this was on purpose or if he just did it for a point but... he never gets a real weapon or any armor. He just nuts it and makes really weird choices with his protection. like letting people live when they are trying to kill him.

Regardless this is just like his other books. except the mc isn't a coward. He's just weak mentally with women. it's really annoying.
