About this listen
The tower has fallen. Survivors are scattered, scrambling to find safety and each other. The rest of the world comes into view as the threats continue to evolve. Elements of strength and hope start to emerge - but at what cost?
We’re Alive: Season 3 features 12 chapters packing performances and sound effects that rival movies and prove that modern audio drama is undead and well. Join our survivors as they band together, struggle to fortify a safe haven, and discover that zombies are far from the worst thing in a postapocalyptic world where the rules of human decency no longer apply.
Little food, little water, little hope - who is lucky enough to say, "We’re alive"?

It was just a random mutation - one of a billion that happen in viruses every day. But this one was different. It exploded out of Somalia and spread across the oceans before anybody thought to look up from their cell phones to see what was going on. The infected breathed the virus into the air around them, spreading it through the cities faster than anyone thought possible. Hospitals were overwhelmed. Police lines crumbled. Quarantine sites disintegrated. Cities started to collapse.

Follow Steve and his group as you see the apocalypse unfold through a single person's eyes. With the Geeks, you meet four young men who thought a zombie apocalypse would be cool...and quickly discover that it really isn't.

Story
On the planet Tython, the ancient Je’daii order was founded. And at the feet of its wise Masters, Lanoree Brock learned the mysteries and methods of the Force - and found her calling as one of its most powerful disciples. But as strongly as the Force flowed within Lanoree and her parents, it remained absent in her brother, who grew to despise and shun the Je’daii, and whose training in its ancient ways ended in tragedy. Now, from her solitary life as a Ranger keeping order across the galaxy, Lanoree has been summoned by the Je’daii Council on a matter of utmost urgency.

Story
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Critic reviews
"We’re Alive is a modern rendition of an old-school medium. Maintaining a style that is both retro and contemporary, the radio drama will give horror fans the campy, kitschy style they like, but it also provides a variety of characters and development to keep general audiences engaged.… Despite not being able to see the action, the excitement and intensity is still sustained through score and sound design. In some ways, the lack of visuals to accompany the audio creates more suspense. The narrator controls how much the audience knows, slowly teasing out information. Accompanying the drama are sparse moments of comedic relief.… Expressing a keen awareness of the zombie subgenre, many of the jokes come from familiar scenarios and tropes of zombie stories." An Exciting Follow Up to the First Two Seasons
We’re Alive the Third Season really is an amazing continuation of Michael and the other survivors. In the third season we see it pick up we’re the 2nd season left off. Then a little way through see a time jump. The plot keeps the listener engaged as well as excited to see what will happen next to our cast of characters. While the drama and action weren’t as well done as say in the first two seasons it was still masterfully crafted to keep not just the plot going but downright suspenseful at times. The cast that does the voices for the characters are back and do a great job in the third season. The sound effects and music is also very well done. All in all I would say the third season sits right next to the greatness of the first two seasons. I would recommend We’re Alive the Third Season to any fan of the series as well as anyone who likes audio dramas or well written zombie stories.

Can’t stop listening
I avoided this series because the story was silly and the characters were so one dimensional but one day it was all that I could listed to in my car and now I’m totally addicted. The sound effects really add to story. I can’t believe the series is free -for how much work they must have put into it . The actors sound like they are having a lot of fun and have really developed a flow since the first books.
It’s kind of like junk food for the soul- it’s a continuous war but it’s non political the bad guys are bad and rhe good guys are hero’s and loyal till the end . Thankfully not alot of love stories just lots of action and witty campy banter . Good escapism !

Great third book/audio performance.
Sorry, no spoilers in this review only oppions of the voice actors and the storyline it's self.
I liked this audio performance as much this time as much if not more than the second performance. This story just keeps getting better and better. Word of advice, listen to the first two audio performances before starting this one as you will not know what is going on with the main characters and the dangers they are facing. I've got to say, I'm looking forward to starting the next performance. Once I listened to the first one I quickly downloaded all of the seasons/episodes. All of the voice actors were fantastic and each one stayed in character the whole time. That to me is very important to have with a cast as large as this one is. The sound effects were great since they were heard, but even at their loudest times the actors could still be understood easily. It was a good match up to get you completely emersed into the action. I wore my headphones since I was doing dishes and laundry, so they helped me hear everything over my loud noises. That, I have found, is the best way for me to enjoy all audio books.
Well, I said no spoilers and I kept my word. Just a sample review of the voice actors, storyline and sound effects. All definitely deserve five stars. Now I'm getting ready to start the next season/episode. Looking forward to seeing what happens next to the main characters and the villains. I hope the villains get what is coming to them. The only thing I will say is that they deserve whatever bad things they get.
Start from season one all the way to the final book/episode/season. You won't regret it. Have fun storming the castle boys;) Sorry, I had to put in a phrase from The Princess Bride since it fits perfectly well here. 😂 Seriously, sit back, put your feet up and enjoy listening to the best way to listen to this series. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have so far.

TRIPLE A PRODUCTION
This series is the equivalent to a blockbuster Hollywood movie. So glad I've discovered it now in 2022 and don't have to wait another 2 years for the forth and final season.

Very great.
I love the way this is performed and the acting is phenomenal. Sound effects are great. Also all the people saying the bickering is annoying need to shut up. If this really happened you would most likely be doing the same thing. The stress and frustration that comes from fear and thinking right on the fly is really stressful. Also when you are in charge and trying to figure things out with other people bickering it’s hard to think straight without losing your cool. The story is very immersive and diverse. Very great though.

And now I’m hooked …
The group at large being scattered and separated makes this season infinitely better than the first one. The female characters are written better as the story progresses as well. (Pegs is the worst though and the relationship between her and Michael feels totally unnecessary.) The snarling zombie noises are going to haunt my nightmares for a while …
