At bedtime, Stephen brushes his teeth and puts on his pajamas. Then he sits on top of the bed. He hugs his knees to himself and watches the bedroom doorway. He is too scared to sleep. What will he do if a shark appears?
“Impossible!” says his mother. But still Stephen watches. Maybe a shark will get tired of living in the ocean. Maybe that shark will come to his house tonight.
With this hilarious story, Winifred Morris shows youngsters they can face their fears and send them away. The imaginative Stephen and his unusual visitor spring to life with narrator Jeff Woodman’s fun-filled performance.
