Love, love, love
Mariana is definitely the queen of slow burn and banter. Alex and Gracie’s back and forths are gold. The narrators are amazing. Connor was the perfect voice for Alex.

Perfect
I loved this one. They were the perfect narrators. Their voices worked perfectly together and sounded like I thought it would when I read the book. Can’t wait to listen again.

Good Writing, a Bit Too Much at Times
Everything I have listened from MZ, I LOVE. This one leaves me lacking. I kept waiting for the usual “goodness “ to kick in and I just never got that listening high.
There was quite a bit of repetitive detail, I found took away from the story. Aside from that, her writing was, as usual, great!
I loved the banter between Cookie and the Defender. I found myself anxious for them to finally realize their feelings.

Uniquely Good
When Gracie Met the Grump wasn’t what I expected the story would be, and that isn’t a bad thing. Gracie has a past thanks to bad decisions of her parents the Grump is a superhero who crash landed in her front lawn, and she took care of him. When the villains caught up to Gracie, he took care of her. They are very much connected and I loved their friendship and how they became lovers. This is such a unique story and it is Mariana Zapata long, but I didn’t care because I didn’t feel the length. The loved the Grump as the hero! The banter is good. The character growth is good. The plot and pacing was good. When Gracie Met the Grump may be a superhero romance, but it was so good. And I’m not a superhero girlie.

A bit of a different concept from my favorite author but everything I love about her books is still there. I also love that Callie Dalton is still the narrator like the original audio versions of her previous books.

Worth the wait!
I’ve waited for this audiobook for years and it didn’t disappoint. Callie Dalton is the voice of Mariana Zapata’s heroines and that will never change, she did great with Gracie’s which is not a surprise. Connor Craise doing the voice of Alex is just….. a match made in heaven. Must listen!

Love the story, loved the narration
I have read the book - but one clicked this right away when I saw it had been released in Audible. One - because Marian Zapata is a one-click author for me. Two- I am in love with Callie Dalton and Conner Crais, each respectively, but was eager to hear them work together and I was NOT disappointed!

Loved the snark and inner dialogue!!
I loved the inner dialogue and the snark and banter.
Gracie really didn’t need a superhero but one just fell right into her yard. Little did she know he was the grumpiest hot guy around.
Callie Dalton was perfect as Gracie with her wonderful inner dialogue. Connor Crais is the perfect grumpy superhero.
This is a fun wonderful story with lots of laughs.
