Gripping intensity!!

Looking for a great summer read, well don't wait around its here now, When Shadows Come , is the novel, and it's a rollercoaster ride, It begins fast and blast off to a roaring finish. There are authors who write books and their are authors who put you in the book and get you to live each page not letting you escape until the book is over. Vincent Zandri is this author. I begin reading in the evening and could not put this one down, finishing late into the night and early the next morning. This is his best book with intrigue, and action, with characters that jump from the page into your lap. ####1 summer read don't miss this book.

Is a great story by Vincent Zandri. The narration is exceptional. Christopher Lane does a masterful job with the voices and accents of the characters. I didn't think this book would turn into a spy thriller, but that's where it leads. A heart pounding and exciting story that keeps you guessing to the very end. Vincent puts in a lot of details. By listening to the story a second time, I've picked up on a lot more of the story that I missed the first time. A must read for anyone who love a suspenseful spy thriller.

I enjoyed reading this adventure with romance, spies and a post traumatic syndrome afflicted hero.

Is it all fiction?

When Shadows Come is the seventeenth book I’ve read or listened to by Vincent Zandri. I can’t think of any of the previous fifteen that left me feeling the way When Shadows Come did at the end. This story from the outset hooks its reader through the circumstances Nick finds himself in. If PTSD blindness isn’t bad enough, his fiancée Grace being kidnapped in front of him sets the hook so deep the reader isn’t going to be able to fight free of the hook. I wasn’t expecting where this story was going or how it might resolve even when major plot pieces were disclosed. I can remember feeling the same way about The Remains as I was reading it. But when I finished The Remains, I wasn’t left with the question When Shadows Come posed to me. I’m still left wondering how much truth might be encapsulated in the fiction of this story, hence the title of my review. If you enjoy thrillers that will grab you and cease to let you go even after the last word has gone, I’d suggest grabbing a copy of this book – in fact grab a copy of the audiobook and let Christopher Lane take you on a thrilling adventure through Venice. Mr. Lanes’ character voices and delivery variances really brought the story to life for me.
