Resumen del Editor

In 1967, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., isolated himself from the demands of the civil rights movement, rented a house in Jamaica with no telephone, and labored over his final manuscript. In this prophetic work, which was unavailable for more than 10 years, he lays out his thoughts, plans, and dreams for America's future, including the need for better jobs, higher wages, decent housing, and quality education. With a universal message of hope that continues to resonate, King demanded an end to global suffering, asserting that humankind - for the first time - has the resources and technology to eradicate poverty.

Dr. King Could Have Written this Book Today!

This book is as relevant today as it as was in the 1960's when it was written.

Sadly education, housing and social justice issues remain just about as intransigent today as they did 50 years ago.

If you're interested in education, housing, politics or criminal justice, this book is a must read.

Dr. King's foresight is amazing. We have the means to solve many of these problems. We need the will to do so.

Cadence

I'm only on chapter 3. The attempt of the narrator to narrate this volume in Dr. Kings' cadence is a mistake because it doesn't work.

Another timeless, riveting title by the late MLK

I always find MLK’s book intriguing, timeless and heartfelt. Where do we go from Here continues with his legacy of fighting for equality for everyone and continues to resonate with millions of people around the world.
It’s another must read for those who are asking those “tough questions” about the US’s / the worlds various inequalities (ie poverty, discrimination, caste, racism)

Wonderful Book!!!

Absolutely loved this book. I was amazed at the foresight Dr. King had in the 1960's and how thay are still applicable at this very moment in time in 2020. Very informative and I appreciate the fact that for the problem identified Dr. King provides a solution. Definitely thought provoking and challenges all humanity to really ask themselves the question, Where Do We Go From Here?

A must read

I will have to read this one several times and take notes. I never realized how much strategy was involved as well as how forward thinking he was we lost a great leader in this man.

A Must Read

Many peoples familiarity with MLK Jr is limited to inspirational one liners about justice, love, reconciliation. That was my experience too. When it comes to headlines, quotes, and sound bites context is vastly under considered but overwhelmingly significant when it comes to understanding the heart, intent, passion and personality of the speaker. With MLK, I wanted to know more. With the events that unfolded in my home state of MN May-Early June of 2020, and the Capitol riots of January 2021, I found my myself saying, “where do we go from here?” I already purchased this book and planned to read it in tandem with Dietrich Bonhoeffer “Life Together.”

This book was incredible! I never could get more than a half chapter deep before needing to stop and think or talk about his words. This book should be required reading in HS or College courses. Not to push an agenda but better round the education and insight into the giant of an influencer MLK was and continues to be.

He’s a highly skilled writer, thus his lengthy list of quotable one liners. I fully intend to read all his works.

Must be pushed into high school curriculum ASAP!!

Dr. King left behind what I call a "mini CRT" that everyone should read. This book must be taught to high school students, become required reading for all preachers of the gospel, activists, organizers, modern revolutionaries, or anyone seeking to expand their minds culturally.

This book contains "forgotten" programs, ideas, lessons, history, and strategies that we still need and must update today; US/world as history repeats daily.

We must use these plans and ideas to help educate our children, activists, organizers, churches, sheep, and preachers while pushing to change the future.

Many of Dr. King's "dreams" left out by the US schools. This book contains a lot of it. Please listen and or read.
