About this listen

In what feels like a moment, Beatrice Edmund goes from being a proper lady cooped up in a stuffy Scottish castle to travelling miles from anything she's ever known, in the midst of the wildest adventure of her life. And at the centre of that adventure is the most infuriating, puzzling scoundrel on earth. She cannot take her eyes off him.

Colin Fitch cannot deny he's drawn to Beatrice - but lust is all he could possibly feel for the sharp-tongued minx. Still, if there's a chance she can help him stop the madman he pursues, he must withstand her obvious disapproval. Yet withstanding the longing he feels for her is growing more troublesome by the second. And Colin has never been terribly good at staying out of trouble.

GREAT START TO ANOTHER WONDERFUL BRIGHTON SERIES

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Most definitely. I found this book to be intense, funny, sad, thought provoking...just an all around good start to another Brighton series.

What other book might you compare Wild Desire to and why?

You know, I really cannot think of another similar book. This book had lots of different aspects that led to it being a very good listen. One could feel the pain that Leo had endured for years. You could feel the total isolation and intense emotions he felt. Ella brought out the best in Leo and made/helped him realize that loving someone does not necessarily lead to losing them.

What about Ashford MacNab’s performance did you like?

I have always liked Ashford MacNab's performances. She adds just the right amount of emotions for each character. While listening to her I can totally picture the character and circumstances surrounding the events taking place. Great job!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Life can bring people together in strange ways

Any additional comments?

My first Lori Brighton book and I'm highly intrigued! I love anything Ashford Mcnab so I gave the book a try just because of her but found the story be very entertaining. I intend to find the rest of the books in this series now.

Good grief..

Any additional comments?

I read Wild Heart yesterday and gave it 5 stars and immediately bought this one thinking it would be just as good. But it damn sure wasn't. More often than not Bea (such an awful name for a heroine) was TSTL and sometimes when they were close to death they had some of the stupidest conversations I've ever had the misfortune to read. Colin used the word "darlin'" way too much when he talked to Bea and then he turned around and called his horse the same thing. And the conversation he had with his father at the temple, while a gun was being held to Bea's head, I might add, was just insane. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in this book. I only gave it 2 stars because the sexual tension was good, as was the sex.

As to the narration? When people are hiding from killers in an old temple and the book says the person hiding "whispered" something and the narrator reads it in a normal voice it really, really loses something for me. A whisper is a whisper. Why can't narrators understand that. Just sayin'
