Publisher's summary

The 11th memoir and latest title from the internationally best-selling author and foster career Cathy Glass. This audiobook tells the true story of Cathy's adopted daughter Lucy.

Lucy was born to a single mother who had been abused and neglected for most of her own childhood. Right from the beginning Lucy's mother couldn't cope, but it wasn't until Lucy reached eight years old that she was finally taken into permanent foster care. By the time Lucy is brought to live with Cathy she is 11 years old and severely distressed after being moved from one foster home to another. Withdrawn, refusing to eat and three years behind in her schooling, it is thought that the damage Lucy has suffered is irreversible.

But Cathy and her two children bond with Lucy quickly, and break through to Lucy in a way no one else has been able to, finally showing her the loving home she never believed existed. Cathy and Lucy believe they were always destined to be mother and daughter - it just took them a little while to find each other.

heartfilled

This book like her other's gives me the continuing education I need as a social worker and the compassion I need to be reminded to find for my wonderful adopted child and the children I work with who are still in foster care.

An excellent read

This is another fabulous book by Cathy Glass. The story is told with the love and sensitivity I've seen in her other book. This is my second experience with a Cathy Glass book, andas with the first book I've read by her, I intend to read more by this fantastic author.

Wow. Powerful story

What did you love best about Will You Love Me??

I have read several other books by this author however this is the only book I purchased on audiobook. It helps me picture the story better then if I didn't hear the audio along with read the pages. What I really liked was the story behind her daughters adoption and even though Cathy knew it wasn't going to be easy she fought for what she believed it.

What does Denica Fairman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The different voices, instead of using the same voice/tone for each character she used a different flavor for each person she was trying to illiterate. It helped me visualize the story all that more better.

Any additional comments?

This book is powerful. Have a box of tissues handy because who knows you might shed some tears along with the characters.
